Okay.I have been referring to myself as a “NERD” for quite sometime now.I personally do not think of it as a bad thing…at all.To me,a nerd is usually an eccentric person who has passionate interests.I have been a Star Wars fan since I was a kid,a musician and a horror fan.I have always approached all of those with the same passion.Being a Halloween/Michael Myers fan since I was a child(Even though I was terrified when I was young!!),I have recently realized I am a nerd in this category,bigger than any!!So,the reasons may be complex,but the question is simple:Do you consider yourself a NERD?

Yes, I would say we are all nerds to an extent. There is probably something out there worse to be into but the average person probably looks down on us. Hanging out on message boards is generally considered nerdy and or lame…lol. I always say walk into a bar and sit next to the hottest lady there and tell her you collect masks and post on mm.net and see where that gets you…lol. I love collecting masks but I don’t expect that the raise me to a god like status in the ranks of social acceptance. :finga:
If collecting horror-memorabilia is nerdy then I’m a nerd & will always be. And now, since my wife has claimed the HMK as her own, she is a nerd in our category as well
What really got me thinking was that Comic-Con was here in NYC this weekend,right in the district I work in.I watched all of these people walking around in crazy costumes in hordes…thousands of people.I could not see myself doing that…b…bu…but…w…wait,I DO!!!AT every horror convention I attend,which is at least two a year,I am the same!!!
I voted a big yes. I’m a horror nerd through and through. I am also a huge fan of professional wrestling and I’m a nerd in that aspect too. I know so much info about both topics that I can’t deny the fact that I’m a nerd.
I’m really into classic slasher movies, play video games on a regular basis, and i watch an episode of Star Trek everyday. I don’t really even have the opportunity to say I’m not a nerd anymore, and I’m proud of it.
i am nerd-a-licious when it comes to myers or horror in general. nothing in my life is as organized, clean or as perfectly set up as my collection. so yes, i am a nerd and if you want to tease me, i can also pound you in the head for a while. LOL. JK. big, crazy, horror, nerd, YES I AM!
