This is a car I searched for in the past. The "found in barn hidden away for decades " is some what questionable to me. It’s always used to make story more dramatic etc…It definitely may be true but what proof do we have this is real?

Considering what they find in stored in barns, yards, and other places on that American Pickers show, I wouldn’t be surprised.
The article says it was a rental car, but I recall in interviews that it belonged to John Carpenter. Can anyone shed any light?
I think the red car Annie drives is Carpenter’s, not the station wagon.

I remember a thread back in the day, where through interviews that Tommy LeeWallace rented the station wagon
for the short production. And that they used a dog crate to make the cage for the divider from the patients
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the rental company had no idea the car was used in the movie?
Hopefully there are a lot of pictures of the car BEFORE it was redone if we cant match the VIN back to the rental company etc.
Agreed. I wanna know how they know for sure it’s the same car.
Only thing I can think of is tracking the registration and title transfers back to the rental company, then through their records

American Pickers is a staged reality show like Pawn Stars and Storage Wars, they’ll put in valuable stuff with junk and say it’s worth tons of money, I’d like to see the records of this car and what they used in Halloween Kills as being the original
