Common courtesy in the Classified Section

Guys and Gals,

This has happened to me so many times that I decided to write this request begging for some simply courtesy in the Classified Section.

Here is the story, I member put a WTB a certain mask. I had that certain mask and thought, I can live without it, so I’ll reply. I took pictures of it, posted the pics on Photobucket and sent the member the pics and my price. The member read the PM and never responded, which I think it very rude. I would rather have the member say they weren’t interested or counteroffer me than never respond at all.

Please, in the future, if you post a WTB and someone responds, PLEASE have the respect to at least say you’re interested, not interested or need to think it over.

Thanks,
Chris

agreed, it also stinks when someone keeps trying to get you to send them a million pics and details and then say they dont want it or cant do it…

Well people want to see pictures to make up their mind. Just because someone wants to see pictures, or more pictures does not automatically mean they want to buy whatever it is you are selling. That brings me to another point, if you post in the classifieds you should post pictures of what you are selling, or at least a link to a picture of what you are selling. I have no idea why people put email me for pictures when it is just as easy to post them in the listing. If I look at a listing and it says email me for pictures I immediately lose interest.

its one thing if its the interest factor but if you know you dont have funds or any means of doing a deal its stupid to enquire…

I agree 100% Ron!

I agree with Chris and Ron

same here…you won’t here from me without pics

Now that is a whole different story, I agree 100% with that, and also if you are holding a mask for someone or if you have sold it please add to the listing ON HOLD or delete it if it is sold. PLEASE!

I agree with Ron here, I simply move on to the next when I see “email me for pictures”. I mean really? Can you be that lazy to not post pictures? The interested buyers should not have to email anyone for pictures, it is the responsibility of the seller to provide that up front. But I agree with Zephro, a reply should be made to let the seller know wether your interested or not.

Later

agreed man 100 percent

Yeah I agree, It just seems lazy to not post pictures.

If they’re too lazy to do that then they’ll probably be lazy with shipping or packing too. I don’t need the potential headache so I don’t even bother.

Another thing I think sellers should do
is for them to be more specific to when it comes to them needing the money A.S.A.P./NOW
when they are selling a mask.

I’ve ran into some before
and I’ve PM some of them all asking them questions about the mask
asking if they can hold the mask for me until I get paid
all being honest and stuff and
then BOM! they reply back saying that they can’t hold it for whatever reason…

So to avoid all this I think they should say when they need the money A.S.A.P
that way if dont have the money yet we wont PM them at all…

yeah but sometimes people choosew not to hold masks not cause they need money quick bbut becsause most the time the buyer never ends uip wanting it…an the seller has to chase them down and ask if they still want it…it gets aannoying

There needs to be a rule here about pictures. I know that on several other sites that I visit, it’s a rule that you must post pictures of the item you’re selling. In this day and age where anyone can open a free account at any one of several different image hosting sites, there’s really no excuse for not posting a pic of your item.

Agreed, courtesy is a must.

lol. Maybe you shouldn’t be in the Classifieds until you get paid. :bulb:

I dont see anything funny  and yeah you are right if I dont have the money then why even look right? what about if you are days away from getting paid and you want the seller to hold the mask for you so he wont sell it to anyone else
I dont see anything wrong with that honestly.Specialy when you are giving him your word that you will buy it.

Let’s lobby for that rule to be enacted!

Well thats different. I thought it was a crazy for you to ask sellers to state how fast they wanted money in their ad. Thats all.

_It seems to me that people think the seller should carry all this burden. This is not the case. The burden should be on the buyer. If you want my mask ask your questions like you normally do, but be ready to buy the thing when I agree. Nothing pisses me off more when I answer every question that was asked and or come to an agreement to the terms only to get no response or asking to change the terms i.e. Will I trade instead of cash or will I hold the mask. It seems to me that their are tons of buyers who dont have the money up and ready to go.

Of course each situation is different. Some masks you want are very costly and you may come to an agreement on a payment plan, but throw that out there in the beginning. This way I can decline without having to jump hoops. Why really ask about a mask if you want to have people hold it and you have no intentions on returning pms. This happens too much. I cant hold masks for people because I lose potential sales if members don’t follow through. This is why you cant honestly hold masks.

Chris is right. If I respond to your thread then be ready to respond and tell me no you declined my offer. It is very annoying, but so are blurry pictures.

Chase you are right to my friend. Its usually best to stay out of their if you dont have money.

Their are some members in this thread full of you know what._
