Correct color of coveralls in Halloween 1978 movie

It’s exactly the same with the originals, my tradewears change constantly depending on light and sometimes even angle, but the primary color is green.

I’ve had the Cintas “spruce green” coveralls for over 13 years. Depending on lighting, they change from green to grey to navy blue. The other brands/colors I tried, never appeared to be as accurate as the Cintas. I know Cintas were not used on set, but in my opinion, the “spruce green” matched most closely to all the colors that the original coveralls demonstrated due to the lighting used while filming. Again, this is my opinion and this opinion is also 13+ years old. Cant go wrong with the Cintas spruce greens. Click my screen name then click on old posts. The few pics I posted 10 years ago are the coveralls I’m talking about. Sorry guys dont have any new ones to post for you.

When I saw 78 in theaters, I managed to see up to the bottom of the mouth, which is quite interesting.

Personally I always thought grey from the first time I watched it. :man_shrugging:t2::man_shrugging:t2:

Charcoal gray.

Kim gottlieb-Walker the set photographer described them as very dark green. Thats the same thing that Tommy lee Wallace described very dark green

I just purchase two NOS sear tradewear coveralls (also got the boots for free) And the colors of each coverall are different, one is a grey/green blue color and the other is a green/blue color. Does anyone think this color is a match?

That photo is of the grey/green coveralls and I’ll take a photo of the grey/blue ones and add that. Maybe someone can join the photos up better than I did.

These are the grey/blue ones.

Tex Green is the colour

I think the first pair looks great. The first pic looks like the green-grey color from the movie. :myers:
Maybe its my monitor but I dont see any blue hues/tones in either pair?
The second grey pair looks really good too

These are my tex-green Roebucks, they change from dark green/ to grey in the same lighting.

Your coveralls look great. Roebuck’s look awesome tbh.

The first pair are more grey/green, there’s a slight hit of blue, they look like a light charcoal, not as dark as my other sear tradewear grey/charcoal coveralls. What you see in the photo is what they look like in person. But I think these look more movie accurate than my grey/charcoal pair. But unfortunately these don’t fit me.

The second pair are 100% green/blue but no matter what lighting i take a photo of them it shows up as gray, even in natural light. Strange? Who knows!

Both of these pairs don’t fit me, I paid next to nothing for them so I am sell them or even give them to someone who will fit into them.

I wear a 42T or 44T. I’m good for coveralls for H1 and H2. Coveralls are a bad addiction haha I had 7 pairs of Sears, Big Macs, Roebuck’s and Montgomery wards and end up selling them all.tbh it’s all about the first film for me as much as I like the other films as well, the first film captured something Very unique the other films struggle to emulate.

The two in the photos are first pair 38R and second pair 36R both are sears tradewear with fly button not the snap button. I got lucky finding these two pairs, but I do have someone who sources things for me as they are a vintage dealer of sorts and they got me a pair of Vietnam boots free of charge but I did have to pay for postage.

They have found two case knives but this is not confirmed if they are 102-12 as of yet and I’m still waiting for photos, so fingers crossed, I know they are both 12” blades at this stage.
If they are 102-12 I’ll be picking the best one and then selling the other (price will be reflected by condition and it won’t be stupid pricing like some people expect) we all know how hard these knives are to find (I’ve been look for 3 years with no luck).
So fingers crossed on the knives, but I’ll be putting the one I don’t keep on eBay if it all works out. I’ll send you a message when I put the knife on eBay if it all turns out.

That sounds amazing thank you! I guess the 46 long Sears would be a size too big.
Your friends/source sounds killer, good luck on scoring the original knife!

Yep 46 is to big.
