Its making it kind of hard to be a collector in the hobby, Sad but that’s just how it is. The mask makers definitely have some good margins going on I bet lol

Agreed with you guys. It’s getting to the point where I’m almost being priced out of the hobby. A mask that would have cost me $200 to $300 5 years ago would now cost me $400 to $500. It’s getting ridiculous. I’m at the point where I’d rather buy a TOTS Elrod for $60 and get it rehauled by an artist for $200, than buy an original Psycho for $400 to $500. And that’s still considering that I once had a 2010 Psycho that only cost me $200 to begin with.

Yup they are going up big time, Even some of the prices to get masks finished or overhauled are going up. I know there are some incredible artist but some of the prices especially for the long wait times are a bit high.

Yup they are going up big time, Even some of the prices to get masks finished or overhauled are going up. I know there are some incredible artist but some of the prices especially for the long wait times are a bit high.

Agree one of my favorite masks I own cost $59 and is from tots . With my masks I’m paying all the costs up front and will have no wait time. I think waiting for a mask and paying 100% full up front is like pulling a ticket at a counter paying your bill then waiting in line to ring up your items I can’t wait to see the April 1st castle stretch I would pay $1k all day for that or whatever he asked lol Also what about KH? He’s asking for $1.3k up front for a mask with no definite time to be delivered some of what I see is shocking and what people will risk for a mask

I’ll agree that mask prices have risen from almost all mask makers - some asking well into the thousands of dollars for a mask & people gladly paying it. But what I will say in “defense” of Dela Torre is that the pieces he sells include the inner shells. (I ordered my latest Buried back when he made it an option to get the masks with or without - & lucky for me, he decided to throw me one in anyway, heheh!) But the really pricey masks include the deluxe inner shells that are bearded & really compliment the masks, in my opinion. Kinda remind me of the first HSS run. Anyway - yes, the prices are high…but some of us are willing to pay it & that’s what keeps the cycle going. I’m “guilty” of this myself
