I think that there is more than just the sculpt that goes into accuracy of a Myers mask. I think paint application, latex used and pull thickness plays a big part into it as well. The RZ mask was thin, so the mask can’t be too thick. Thickness really shows in the neck and eye cut areas
That’s correct - If you do not have the accurate base sculpt though it won’t matter how much you paint and detail it will never be as accurate without the base
My silicone master just wrapped up this weekend and I’m hoping to have at least 2 copies painted and haired to show. Also unlike other masks this one will be ready to ship and you’ll be able to see exactly what you’re getting before you pay. I feel these will be a very highly collectible mask and it I def think Scott Spencer does the best cuts and hair on the RZ masks in the hobby.
I agree I think this new sculpt is killer but DT is far from trash all my DT masks are top notch and 100 percent accurate I don’t see anything getting better
His new work lately from the 2 ive been shown has been terrible compared to his older work mate, 1 of the masks ive seen was a weird grey/blueish colour ffs
well personally I never liked the Dream Sequence replicas, none of them, included that one, but the clean one and the buried were kickass masks, especially with the old price, the clean one at 280 was a no brainer.
Theres something about the clean 1s that ive never liked for some reason, i like it in the film but the indie versions always seem a bit off in my eyes
I;ve got bbad bbusness deals and personal issues with the guy also - He took me for over 2 grand and made me wait more than 9 months for crappy masks with gray hair and crappy shells. The masks were super washed out and the paint sucked. I’m not the only one who this has happened to recently. I don’t mind spending money buy the product I purchase better meet or exceed my expectations especially considering I waited 3/4 of a year for them Hope that clarifies some stuff for you
