I’m pretty on the fence with him, (and still not totally in love with the new mask tbh) as far as a portrayal of the shape. I commented on it to my friend during the movie, but a lot of his movements felt a bit too stiff and Terminator like… and then I saw this in this outtake video:
He seems to pull his legs up a bit too much while walking too quickly. He also seems to move his head really fast.
I only mention it because I still firmly believe that Warlock was the best physical actor to wear the mask. He would glide through the scenes with such epic control of his core and legs, while staying pretty loose in the arms and letting his head and mask steal the show. I rate JJC a solid 65% but … Idk. It’s just a bit off in some scenes for me. He did have a great physical presence and I think he beats out just about everybody but Castle and Warlock.
Seriously…this place is getting over run by jackasses with attitudes. This is what has driven away a lot of long time awesome members. I’m starting to see why
Ummm he was one of the best Myers to ever play the role lol I agree Caleb…I see every other thread is a negative or argumentitve subject. I miss the old days where we just posted awesome masks and looked in awe at some of our collection pieces
I personally agree. The way he turned when we was walking around the neighborhood (after the H2 bumping into kids recreated scene.) seemed very robotic.
I hope my opinion does not upset anyone.

The knife through the neck kill etc so many great moments and ambiance. Now if you wanna talk about the walk - it’s very reminiscent of H2 in some scenes but I also love Warlock portrayal so maybe I’m biased lol
Oh, no I agree. I loved the way he was shot. I loved how he was moving in and out of the scenes and around the back of houses. It was like he was walking in and out of a painting sometimes. And I did love a lot of the kills.
Like I said, he has a great physical presence, I just thought his walk was a little off at times. Obviously any new actor is going to put their own spin on it and he did better than most.
I didn’t find him robotic, but I did get a little bit of a Jason PT. 4 feel from his mannerisms and how the kills were executed. Back when he was bulky but not massive, and the kills were gory, but not over the top. I did like his portrayal of Myers, but the heavy thud from his footsteps, and some other mannerisms made him more akin to early Jason portrayals. If he were a bit more smooth with his movements, a bit more “John Wick” efficiently brutal, and his gait were almost like gliding across the screen, he would’ve been dead on. JJC is definitely top three in terms of Myers portrayals.
To me… H1 and H2 are a toss up on which Michael I like best. We actually see a lot more of him in H2 and he walks a lot slower but it’s creepy, H1 I Love because the stalking and he moves faster. This new one to me is a combo of both
idk, Jason part 4 was the first time Jason really moved fast and rushed and had a hulking presence. He’s practically running and bashing through doors and windows. I didn’t get that feeling from JCC at all. …I guess JCC did bash through Lauries door, but that scene gave me an H2/Warlock feel more than anything else.
imo JCC is a perfect combination of Castle and Warlock. The smoothness of Castle and the robotic movements of Warlock. It even had the, ‘Head turns, then the body turns’ movements of the original films.
(the stomping sounds at the end I’m pretty sure are just post-production sound effects, anyway.)
Castle, Warlock, and now JCC are definitely my top three Myers now.
