And I can’t be anymore disappointed. I actually calmed down a bit from August (at which time I wanted to walk out of the theater) until now and I thought I could like this movie more. I thought about what I liked about it (which was very little) and I thought it could actually get me to like at least 50% of the movie No! The visions are even more ridiculous, Laurie and her language is even more annoying, Loomis is more useless and Myers being unmasked 90% of the time could not be anymore of a letdown. Laurie is just…absolutely horrendous, she’s the worst part of the movie. She’s a white trash druggy drunk bitch! How in the hell am I supposed to feel sorry for her, acting like a complete ass, while Annie is obviously more of a “pure” character who deserved to live? And her language is just annoying and that’s saying something coming from a guy who cusses worse than a sailor. The vulgarity just shows the lack of script writing ability on Rob’s part.
The only 3 likable things about H2 for me remain to be Brad Dourif, Danielle Harris, and Michael Myers.
Instead of paying Malek $20 at Monster Mania for an autograph I think I should demand my money back for such a piece of shit.
That one scen where she starts having a fit because she couldn’t get her pills had me cringing. I couldn’t beilieve what I was seeing, that one scene ruined the entire film. I guess it’s not nearly as bad as “fuck…fuck…fuck…fuh fuh fuhh AH FUCK!!!”
Yeah I hated Laurie in this, especially the Unrated version…She is absolute white trash and the constant screaming, bad girl, cursing bit just does not work for me at all…She was really annoying to me…The theatrical version I could deal with even though im not a fan of it, but I literally cant stand the unrated version…Michael grunting die at the end, Laurie’s role, no mask for most of the film, annie and laurie basically fight and hate each other, It just doesnt work for me…Ive said it from the begining this would have made a great slasher film IMO(Just my opinion guys, I dont knock those who liked it all) but not a great Halloween…I just dont get that Halloween vibe much at all…The best part of the movie to me was the first 15 minutes…Once it leaves the hospital I dont care to really watch the rest…I do love the mask(Not the half mask version) and the way it looks in the rain and Rob’s lighting…He did do an amazing job at lighting but the rest I just cant dig…To be honest I got liked H8 better than RZ H2 and got a better Halloween feel from that…And I cant stand H8 either…RZ’s H1 I liked…There were things I didnt like but I liked it much better than H2…at least in H1 Some of the Classic Halloween traits remianed in the film…I still say Tyler mane was the best myers since warlock…I think he is a great myers despite what some people say about his size…I actually like his size because its more menacing to me…Later guys

i agree with what everyone on here has said about the script and laurie and all that crud. i just wanted it for the extras and such.
i kinda, really didnt like it at the theater though.
i wonder if i should just return it and wait for the deluxe version with all the bells and whistles, if he even plans on releasing such a thing, kinda like the H9 one with the 6 hr docu.
Matt this is a TURD of a movie, no offense to anyone who likes it but I definitely don’t see anyone can excuse all the HUGE problems with this movie and call it good. I do like the fact Michael is brutal and the mask (except the “half mask” crap) but the script is ridiculous.
I DID however buy both versions of the movie. I hate to admit it because I realize this only advocates this poor excuse for a Halloween entry BUT I do have my reasons. One is when it comes to collecting I’m a purist and to NOT have these two entries deems the rest of my collection “incomplete”. The second reason is because I’m going to take the two versions and try and make a better cut. It will never be a good movie in my opinion but it could be better. Michael is scary, I like the rain scene at the guard station, I liked the hospital scenes…so at least there’s SOME things I like. With some creativity I think I can make this a better movie by a full letter grade. I’ve been a writer for going on 20 years now so I think I have a shot at this because it is somewhat similar to “rework” a movie as it is to edit a story.
To end this on a positive note I agree Tyler is a good Myers. I hated the grunting and “Die” crap but his walking, head movements, kills and the way he “looks” out of his eyes is great. A turd movie but a really good Myers in my opinion.
