Tyler mane made me want more as far as michael myers…i loved the remake and h2…and i am certainly a die hard fan of the originals (who isnt)…the thing i think is most unfair is how some people call the rz fans newbies or act like cause you like rz your not a real fan…it IS a halloween movie and that IS michael myers…and since the original i beleive the remake and tyler mane stand over all the sequels besides halloween 1 and 2 original
Everyone hates on zombies screenwriting ability when, in reality, he had a very short time to write this film. It was rushed all across the board. (you can blame the weinsteins for that.) So, honestly, I don’t think it’s a valid argument. Sure, his H1/H2 could have been much better, but Ho1KC and The Devil’s rejects were ARGUABLY pretty good. So, rather than hating the man entirely, and insulting his screenwriting ability on a public forum, why not address ALL the factors first?
I will be getting coveralls only. Maybe a jacket with a hood but that would be it for any additional articles of clothing. It will be my own look to Myers. Less hobo-like because I do like the hood idea but not with so much clothing.
Just like I said, its all Bs to start up the controversy Machine Nice message Dren “Blow me and choke on it eh? You wanna keep playing the immature game? I’ll play.” well send me another nice message or post it to get out your bitching and suck up all that attention like you need to, and love to.
Seeing is your reply was clearly addressed to me, albeit, indirectly, here is my simple, well thought out and relevent reply.
What’s your excuse for the same horrid scriptwriting in RZH? It was just as bad in that film as well, completely. Just accept it, he can’t write. I mean, sure, he can pick up a pen, or type on a computer, but he has no talent when doing it. He can direct the fuck outta a movie very well, no question. But he cannot write to save his life. His writing isn’t “reality” it’s using cussing and profanity just to cover the fact that he can’t build characters with simple conversation pieces.
So, he hides it and stretches out the film time by tossing in ridiculous dialogue that normal people would never say to the extent the Rob plasters it on screen. Atleast people who live outside the trailer park would use it, that is.
The film had it’s strong points, but the writing certainly wasn’t any part of that. The direction and the other things I mentioned before, were definitely strong.
Nothing from me was directed towards you , but I will say that I enjoyed “the Devil’s rejects” and “House of 100 corpses.” and find him too be a good story teller, and love the new version of Michael, he is a very menacing, evil to the core, killer and that is terrifying. As for his writing yeah he has a tendency to go overboard with language a bit, but hey we live in the real world, and have been inundated with it, society is so saturated with it is almost natural. As for all the trailer park comments, I have lived in many Trailer parks, and it doesn’t make any one better then any one else. Just cause I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth, doesn’t give all the suburban safe in the bubble homes away from the world a judging stick. And their are a lot of good people who live in trailer parks they just have hard luck, and don’t have the privileges that others start off with.
