I just got a NAG mask done up by JC and it is a beauty. However, I want to wear it now and then but the neck seems longer than it appears in H2. I am not sure if Dick just had a longer neck or if his mask had a shorter neck length? Can anybody shed some light on this? I want to cut my mask a bit to get a more accurate look and to be more comfortable turning my head but I also dont want to taint the beautiful work JC has done and alter the NAG mask. I am stuck. Hopefully someone can give me some advice.

The question you have to ask is Are you “renting” the mask or do you plan to keep it? If you don’t plan to sell anytime soon and plan to actually wear it go ahead and do what you have to do to enjoy it, however it does affect the value when you go to sell.

The neck was never shortened on the original 1/2 hero, it was just velcroed tighter on Warlocks head since he hated the neck flaring out

do you have more photos of the mask from this time ? what velcro do you recommend?? I think that velcro could do the trick because it does feel too fat around my neck

I don’t think he ever closed the button on thr collar did he? Only propped up the collars to close the neck of the mask

Wow, I’m ashamed to say having watched H2 for over 20 years and I NEVER noticed it’s not buttoned all the way 
I only realised it myself after looking at close ups!
these are perfect. im going to get some velcro and test it out hopefully it gives me the look im going for. also its crazy how different the mask looks in different lighting and angles and different times wearing it. sometimes it looks way different.
do we know 100% that the hero mask was velcro shut because warlock hating it sticking out ?
There was talk long ago that they used a safety pin. I think you can even see it in the TV cut when he turns away from Laurie’s bed after stabbing it.

awesome! i just put some velcro on mine and it works a charm. do you think you could send me the rest of that conversation? I am really just trying to dive into warlock and how it was wearing the costume and little facts about the movie.
