H6 mask comparisons. (Picture intensive)

Please be sure to check the FULL image links, as most of the images if not all of them you show here were screen shotted frame by frame!

I will add the brief shots of Myers after John was killed, but all the rest are in their respective galleries.

I recommend the catbox link as that has the images of the mask as John Storde dies.

And trying to pause frames is not that easy on a ps4. Never expected all of the good shots in HD to just fall into lap so to speak. Really really appreciated!! Ill probably thank you again and again. Its deserved tho. Devils in the details they say…

… after reading posts on this site, more fans than haters of H6 & everyone seems to be in agreement that Michael Myers is by far one of the scariest in this film, totally agree!

It is and lets discuss why and why it is actually very close to the original and ups the ante at the same time. (First half especially)
I fucking love the first half of his movie so much. And it is just forever a part of me. Year 1995 had significant things in my life and this movie just scared the shit out of me. It sucks it was hindered by so many problems and too many fingers in the halloween pie. If the stars had aligned it would truly have been great all the way through .

1 ) the mask has alot of similiarities to the first (no brown eyebrows , two different faces/eyes , visually eerrie like a fucked up mime)
2) brutal violence in first section of movie, cat and mouse build up, character building…SUSPENSE!!
3) laundry on a line and micheal in the day stalking
4) micheal more brutal then we’d ever seen to that point.
5) micheal trying to kill a baby . (Pure evil remember)
6) curse aspect works just not the way they pulled it off (see 78 novelization)
7) Donald pleasance R.I.P
8) car driving through pumpkin stack, still have yet to see a movie with micheal.in a pumpkin patch (was a script that had him in a pumpkin patch killing but was scrapped)
9) micheal driving (micheal isnt stupid actually kinda clever see 78).
10) brutal massacre of cult and doctors with strobe light not seen in any halloween film up to that point.
11) micheal combined with lightning flashes
12) despicable character (john) spectacular death and you root for micheal
13) solid helping of just micheal in his element
14) lighting!!!
15) haunting score
16) hellraiser pumpkin on strode porch (was actually a hellraiser /halloween crossover planned at one point)
17) brutal death of a final girl (jamie) unexpected but not lame like resurrection)

17 is the day of my birth so i think i will just leave it at that.

Nah but wait! Theres more !

  1. one of the most brutal and unexpected neck snaps ive ever seen still to this day.

  2. also of note , i feel danny is sort of a precursor to what corey is in Ends (possesed /evil taking over him susceptible to supernatural arir waves , brandishes knife on asshole, in first half of film) sorely was lost after first half never explained as well as jamie in ending of h4 .

  3. easter egg …notice the way he picks up surgical blade /machete in H6… exact way myers picks up hammer in 2018…

  4. ominous and haunting ending just like the original. Still alive…

The film H6 is incredibly underrated. In my opinion, Michael Myers is portrayed as a relentless killing machine. The depiction of real cults with henchmen making sacrifices of the innocent and weak is chillingly realistic. The Manson family murders serve as a perfect real-life example of this. The horror film genre is captivating because it is fictional; however, it’s important to remember that there are real monsters in the world who prey on the vulnerable. Have fun, most of all, stay safe.

I’ll try to keep it brief, but my love for H6 actually didn’t start young like H1, H4 and H5 which I watched religiously. It started in 2014 when the Blu-Ray boxset came out. It was my first blu-ray buy and I got a player and TV just to watch it. I justified it by saying I was doing well in college. I had seen the Producer’s Cut on the bootleg version on YT but I had access to it in full clarity.

It’s the score, Alan Howarth’s swan song for the series, that draws me in. Atmospheric, but going back to that piano style of the main themes but the synths for the new. Loved his version of the Shape Attack theme that got cut out. I also think the cinematography by Billy Dickson is very much perfect “Fall” atmosphere. It just feels like midwest October. Such a great loooking movie.

I also love Michael’s mask and look.

I also think it has the most interesting production, very fascinating to read in depth about. I do feel Farrand’s other versions were vastly superior, but as is the P-Cut remains a soft spot comfortably in the above-middle of my rankings.

Yes to all of that… music is as unrelenting and as chilling as myers, watching again right now, cinematography like you said is really really great and theres so many pumpkins in the first little bit noticed theres alot in the actual barn too. That scene that shows the street and trick or treaters is so halloween 78
. They got so much right compared to h4 and h5 . Ya its still interesting to me so please lets keep talking. You say other versions , how many? And yes the mask is just eerie perfection , innocent and evil at the same time. I wish they had loomis meet up with micheal at hospital… one thing that really would have brought everything full circle in a way.

Things that go good with micheal
Pumpkins
Rain
Lightning
Sheets and clotheslines
Hospitals
Fall weather

Cut shape attacks music has me intrigued…well good night friends my brain is on halloween overload right now lol but i wont have it any other way. Peace

Haha! Yes, it is me under there… or is it? LOL - For that particular photo, that is just a plain ol’ kitchen knife to cut bread n’ stuff, nothing fancy at all, just a neat picture.

So i just got my 78 (had to order another one , i ripped my last one during paint removal )
And my second curse mask. (Middle )
First curse mask has been repainted and stripped couple times still not far off from what it looked like when i got it. It had a wart between lips so that why you see latex where ive had to patch it up. Crazy the difference in paint and hair on new TOTS mask. Think my old curse will be the wilbur version and new one the reshkot mask. Newest curse seems a bit smaller too. Might have to rework the eyes a bit. I wonder if its even the same mold eyebrows look a little different , the old one seems to be more on point. Its a bit squished on the right side so maybe its not as bad as im thinking it looks right now. Hoping the base details will come out when i strip the clear coat off of the newest mask (see the gritty details on older model need those details to bleed through when i repaint it) The hair will work nicely for the reshoot style however. (Think tots listened about hairline complaints) Have to work on eyeholes on 78 too. Anything im missing dont hesitate to tell me.
78 is a very nice copy …still waiting on that Brute pic Mr.13…

Also rehauling some knives. Gunna get my bro to make a curse knife and machete/surgical blade. Lots to do. Hard to see but knives have that wood grain effect on them and they are 2 toned. Ill keep you guys updated as i progress. I used bark brown as a base on both and then burnt umber on curved poster knife and raw umber on 78 knife. Working on ends rusty rehaul too. Had some trouble with making pilot holes to have metal rivets as knives are very thinned out so had to spray paint instead. Might give them a light sand to look worn but most will be covered in blood (micheal does dirty bloody work) best way to paint metal rivets is to get a piece of styrene do about two or three layers delicate surface tape on top of each other and then use a hole punch. This is like my 5th attempt used wrong tape had residue issues and had many troubles trying to get rivets clean looking after removing tape. Failing is frustrating i tell you what.

And also this BAMF. 5th attempt too, kept getting damaged before i could clear coat so frustrating. This has to be the one for my sanitys sake final clear coat is ON… Gunna do weathering and blood fx as well. All custom made by my bro to my specs . Didnt get the pry bar exactly (its kind of squarish on base points?) as ive seen some better photos recently but we used movie screen shots and actual halligen bar references. It has an interesting history too . But ill stop ranting lol
No ill keep going lol also debating on using a matte coat (dull steel look …) thoughts? Its glossy right now . Have tested out on the previous attempt and it does look more like a steel bar. Definitely how im gunna do the 78 knife. I think the glossy might look better for poster knife.

" There’s one thing I know, you can’t control evil. You can lock it up, you can burn it and bury it and pray that it dies, but it never will. It just rests awhile. You can lock your doors and say your prayers at night, but the evils out there…waiting. And maybe…just maybe…its closer than you think "
