Sounds corny to me, like mixing H:20 with the first RZH movie in a way. Most patients at mental hospitals aren’t drooling lunatic zombies, they are usually there for depression related illnesses or schizophrenia. The whole H:20 revenge thing to me is just anti-Halloweeen. Halloween was never about Laurie, she was just a person that was in the way and unlucky enough to be the first person that approached the Myers house, same as Tommy; and the original ended perfectly where Laurie and Dr. Loomis realize that you can’t kill the boogeyman. The Shape isn’t something you can kill or be prepared for, so the only way this would work is if all of Laurie’s prep doesn’t help her at all.
Dropping the bloody teeth over the stall door is also too in your face for the type of stalking The Shape did. If they were to go with the teeth route the better scenario would be the woman is in the stall, the door opens, she hears male boot footsteps walk up to the front of the stall (but not immediately in front of the door, about 3 feet back or so). The boots then face the stall door and the person (The Shape) stands there silently for moments. The woman says that the stall is occupied, there is no answer, she then says that “this this the women’s bathroom”, she is clearly unsteady as to why some man is standing there silently. There are moments of silence then some things are drop to the floor by the man. The man stands for a moment after, then casually walks out of the bathroom with a slow creep. The woman waits a little bit to make sure the man is gone, finishes up, then opens the bathroom stall door and peeks her head out looking around to make sure the man is no longer there, then she looks down and approaches the objects the man dropped and she stoops down and sees they are bloody teeth, cue her feared and panicked reaction. She knows the man is still out there, she just doesn’t know where he is or when he will make his move. That to me is the type of stalking The Shape would do. Just flat out dropping the teeth into the stall is more of an RZH type of thing, it’s less playful and more immediate, like so much of mainstream horror is, it does not take its’ time to build up tension.
This is a good idea, but how do you know if that’s not how the scene goes? We haven’t seen the trailer, only depictions of what happened. We don’t know what happens before or after he drops the teeth
Be prepared to be disappointed then. I’m sure that being locked up for 40 years has pissed him off quite badly. Plus, it being a modern movie, we’ll get some brutal scenes
Yeah I guess he would be pissed. He was pretty mad in H2 '81 but they did that with style. Hoping for more of that. I won’t judge 'till I see it. Fingers crossed
I think it’ll be a mixture. The people that saw the trailer confirmed that it looked like there were a lot of subtle stalking moments of The Shape, but also moments where’s a bit more physical and brutal.
