Looking forward to seeing it

That was my take as well. It’s been said that this film will be part drama focusing on how the events of the original have effected Laurie since, and along with that her daughter and granddaughter. I imagine Laurie is viewed as sort of an outcast who is laughed off by the town and her relationship to her family may not be so solid. The ending as described so far seems to show that her family has accepted her, but in the process will now carry her burden as well. Michael is left breathing because that ending flirts between the line of human and supernatural. This dude could very well be the boogeyman, and who is to say he can’t live forever. Whether he does or not, it’s Laurie’s family that will be carrying the knife waiting for him.
As soon as I read that ending description I got excited as it has a deeper subtext than I expected. Even though some will say it’s setting up a sequel, I believe it’s actually conclusive and is faithful to the original in that way. Then again, I haven’t seen the film, so I’m not sure how all of this plays out exactly on screen, and that can change things considerably. I’m hoping that Gordon Green and Co., if they do reshoot the ending I hope it’s a thoughtful replacement.
I understand why many would be hesitant for that kind of ending, most of the opinions I’ve read are hoping for some sort of finality and that Laurie kills Michael once and for all. I lean towards keeping him alive, or at least having it ambiguous; but really it just depends on what is appropriate for the story that was told. H20, for example, he had to die.

The more I look at this new mask…the more I like it. I cannot decide which look I like better…H1 with the Castle stretch or H2 with the Warlock stretch…it’s day to day for me which look like the most. However, this new mask is giving a H2 vibe to me which is awesome! I can’t wait to see more footage and pics!
