Trancas had no intention of paying thru the a$$ for something that should be rightfully theirs, they are the legal copyright holders, stop trying to switch the blame onto them.
What are the chances of all of that happening though? I guess if the stars were in perfect alignment

The footage is not “rightfully” theirs. If the footage was “rightfully” theirs, they could sue me. Why don’t you think the new Doc made it on to the new Halloween disc…money. Someone wanted too much money.
The rights to Halloween have to be coming up sooner then later…that or Anchor Bay could license Halloween to Synapse. Trancas wouldn’t even have to pay for this footage…wink wink, hint hint.
None of this will ever materialise, and again, the lost footage as far as i am concerned is in the “wrong hands” as far as anything coming to surface for the fans to see.

Mr. Kirkus is not only asking a magical price he won’t name on the footage, but also refuses to show it to the people who are interested. He also refuses to answer his phone, and in the one instance he reached out to Trancas, just informed them he was not willing to talk unless the money being offered him was substantial enough to ‘justify’ his time to talk. The amount? He won’t say.
Bottom line: I, Justin Beahm, tried, on behalf of Trancas, to make a deal happen on this footage, but was ignored, turned away, or blown off every single time. For a year. I offered to FLY BILLY OUT TO LA to look at the footage. Nope. I offered to fly INTO where Billy was located to look at the footage. Nope. I asked for a price from Bily. Nope.
Bottom line: Kirkus is not interested in settling on the footage.

We have stated several times what the footage is…exactly, yet, you think it’s completely something different and try to damage what it is. Simpley put, your offer has not warranted me to show you anything. You are not serious about anything except making a name for yourself. That is from learning about you from day one. Want to find out what the footage looks like? Ask John, Tommy Lee, Dean or Nick. They have all seen it and can’t believe it’s not available. Ask the 150 plus people I showed at Horrorhound or MaskFest between 2011 and 2012…your right, I want no one to see it. As a matter of fact, while you were getting drunk at the end of the bar in Indy during the last Horrorhound, I was showing the footage to people right in front of you at the bar. I had Tommy Lee, Nick, Dick, Chris Durand, Lance Guest and Leo Rossi right behind us…all of this was right in front of YOU! They were actually laughing at you and your offer you made.
Oh, and Justin…Halloween was filmed with Myers being dead…and, yes, I have that footage as well. Just call up Tommy Lee, he’ll tell ya that. It wasn’t until later in the filming that Myers was decided to live.

I do. They release H1 DVD’s and merchandise with special intent all the time. MONEY. Haha! What’s title of this thread? A thread about the 35th Anniversary DVD. There was a 30th box set. Limited stuff. Blu-rays, etc. They’d flip the footage into serious dollars. This is why every time someone on Youtube uploads the full Halloween 1978 movie, within a few weeks it’s taken off of Youtube. The company has people searching. It’s all about money. That footage would be packaged into so many different ideas. It’d bank some serious cash for the company that purchased it for sure, and shouldn’t be sold for chump change either.
As for taking it down on YouTube, so they should. It’s copyrighted material and shouldn’t be up there.
The thing is, people will buy Halloween regardless of content. There are always people buying it for the first time, as shocking as that may seem. While the footage would obviously be a selling point, I think that the film would make similar amounts regardless.
Anyhow, all of this is meaningless, as the footage is never gonna get out there. It’s going to go to someone’s grave, apparently.

Agreed! This is the reason I rarely post or come around here anymore. It has been old for a long time now. 
I usually steer clear of these kind of threads but it’s very intriguing.
FIRST AND FOREMOST OFF THE BAT Anyone looking pass the crap of the bickering and read what Billy wrote …Myers being placed dead In H1 and then changing to him staying alive…That’s all I really got outta that.
It comes down to everyone’s opinion and view on how someone “Billy” wants to handle what he has the right too. I’m not saying he’s 100% correct…But I would hope Billy…Justin and yourself could put aside some checkered pass experiences so the footage can be made possible to the fan community in the PROPER WAY with your consent on how it was handle. & off course the proper offer from Trancas & Justin. I truly believe this will have somewhat of a good outcome, honestly not anytime soon but the vets and the people who will stick with this hobby will see it in the near future.

Exactly. That’s the first time that I had ever heard that. Just knowing that footage exists is pretty damn cool regardless of anything else!
