Halloween 5 Boots identification thread

I don’t think I have made a thread, however, I think I have found a couple positive leads for the H5 boots, the first are the Justin Work Boots which we have looked at as a lead, these particular model are WK682, it is in the Stampede line, the sole on these are not a match though

My other pair that have the same stitching, Squared toe and are lace ups, are the Ariat Cascade Boots, these are still sold on eBay, and these have the same mismatched sole of the Justin boots

Let’s get into having fun with this one!

I still look at vintage black boots every day trying to find them. I, however, don’t think that the design on the top of the foot is stitching like on the Justins or on cowboy boots. It’s much more raised and goes up under the two sides of the boot. I think it is either the laces and they start low for some reason, or possibly even vent holes. These shoes are so crazy! I texted Don but he said he didn’t know because a lot of stuff was trashed the last day.

I do the same thing, Im still searching trying to find a brand. Someone should try to email/contact Simon Tuke the films costume designer.

I swear the lower part of the boot the toe/heel etc is rubber not leather. The one scene where the Janitor is chasing Jamie
on the way down to the basement. He’s wearing Michaels boots, you see the heel flexing/bending likea rubber winter boot. Heres some iffy quality screeen grabs

I screengrabbed the bluray off my laptop.
If Nathan Ghostly has the bluray you get a breif frame by frame of the boot w/ his pant-leg pulled up.
My copy looks a little compressed/lower quality. The scene where the Hermit is looking for Myers, and myers jumps out and collapses on him. When he falls back his legs go up in the air, you get a glimps of the rest of the boot.

These 3 above pics show the flex, I think its a rubber lower. The boots look normal, when he takes the next step the
heel bends and flexes/distorts like rubber winter boots within a few frames

these are definitely hard to get shots, the janitor is one of the best references also wearing the boots, they do look to have a rubber sole on them, cause they do flex in a weird sort of fashion when he and Michael are walking around

I’ll get in touch with him!

Interesting, I never realized the H5 boots were brown. Would be cool to get a positive id on them

I believe they’re black, I’d love a positive ID as well!

They’re not brown, we’ve only found brown type which are very similar

Im still looking for brands that come close. Ive seen some boots with those horizintal lines on the toe.
Not in a western cowboy style, I seen them on motorcyle boots, they call them a toe shift guard.

They get more elusive every time I see another image of them, they have a faux leather upper. A rubber lower/sole my guess
The way the upper looks its almost like theyre Waterproof boots or Duck boots. But they have that funky toe

I’d say waterproof boots, and the guard for a foot shifter does sound like a perfect reason for the raised toe pad, cause that’s where a ton of leather comes off

Im still googling trying to find a brand that comes close. Im starting to see models with the pleated toe. Some boots have “ruched” leather, thats when they intentionally put those creases in by glueing/folding over the leather.
These boots arent a match by any means, but Im getting closer. They dont have the right number of ridges, anyway
I found these Rockport boots
rockport lux lodge.jpg
rockport lux 4.jpg
rockport lux 3.jpg
rockport blk.jpg
rockport lux.jpg

That second to last Lockport has the right pattern, but of course, it needs at least 6-8 folds on the toe, and they look like a mountain climbers/sherpa boot

Resurrecting this to say I forgot a scene where we see the boots, in the barn where Michael/BF steps out. Although it doesn’t help too much it does show us how raised those lines are… so odd.

and here are the others so that they are all in one place:

Mountain boots could be a VERY strong lead given they filmed in Utah. Those ridges on the top of the feet appear to go up even under the laces.

idk man i just searched another good two hours! UGH

If these had the lines they would pretty much be an identical match from Ive gathered…Swedish army boots…getting close lol

Holy effing sh*t I think I just stumbled onto the brand of boots from H5!

The lines on the toe match up same, the same number of ridges, higher up on the toecap towards the tongue/laces
just like on the movie boots. if these are the right brand hypothetically, these are mens “Colorado” brand hiking boots

If only these were size 11  Id be wearing them right now

Ahhh! Most definitely could be a step in the right direction. I’m excited that you found these.
