Here are a few comparison shots of the color of the fabric next to the original. The original had a two tone to it…blue/green. I know the name but I’m not going to leak it out…trust me, it’s not made anymore. The fabric it’s self is the exact same material.

A friend of my posted a pic of his Green Witch on the HMA. The witch is 100% original from 1982…but his hood looks BLUE!
I love the blue tint. Whether or not it’s actually a blue/green, I don’t care. I want the blue look for my witch(es).
Thanks for clearing that up for me regarding the blue and green colors of the hood Mr. Magnum. My SSN witch has a green one and I never knew why, thought mine just never made it into the “Final Processing” room before being shipped to me, drove me nuts lol!
Blue or Green, you really can’t go wrong either way. If only the original material was available…it’s green, but it’s blue. It’s not teal…it’s bluish green or greenish blue.
I like blue hoods on witches. It’s a great contrast from the green. I actually went with a blue-ish color for the hood on my H3 tat and I think it was the right choice. It really pops.
I may actually look into getting some of this fabric soon for my CGP witch. It looks great.
Blue 100%. It’s crazy how much better it looks in the pictures… I would have never believed the actual fabric was green if I hadn’t held an original in my own hands. Scott is right, it makes a great contrast!
I got a swatch of this fabric in the mail today and it’s really not doing it for me. I mean it looks pretty close in the pics but the texture and weight leaves a lot to be desired. not to mention it’s a magnet for lint and debris. I’m gonna keep looking and let y’all know if I can find anything better.
Mine looks great and is the exact same material as the 1982 hood.
I just snapped these pics really quick. I ordered swatches of what I think is the same exact material that you linked us to. possible I got something from a different lot perhaps. It’s just very nappy and fuzzy. My hood is more plush and chunky…

I suppose it’s very well possible Billy and I have completely different hoods. This material is not very similar to mine but looks spot on to his.

It’s not awful. Let’s please try to keep this constructive. It’s much more accurate than anything I’ve seen anyone using. I’m just going off what I have in my hands. I know DP made the black hoods which were a completely different material all together but is it possible they used different material to make the Green hoods? I’d think it’s within the realm of possibility.
You’re hood fabric, original and the new fabric look completely different than what I have. I will take some pics later Saturday night.
The 1982 hood that you have looks NOTHING like my hood. Totally different material it appears.
At $10 a yard, for what I have, it looks identical.

Yeah that’s what I’m saying. I mean this could also mean if they used different fabrics there may have been inconsistencies with color between fabrics used. Which may explain, other than lighting, why some hoods appear more blue or green than others ya know? I think it’s pretty interesting can’t wait to see more pics of Billys hood.

Was expecting a bit more than that… especially from Billy’s pics.
That swatch looks like a thinner, cheaper material. I’ll review when it rolls in.
