That material is not the same as I got. Lets see the under side.
I doubt that they cut you a section out of the large material for every sample ordered, they probably have a lot of pre cut material placed or packed tightly together which could change the way it looks due to storage. I’m sure your order will look just like Billy’s, Chad.
I’ll post a pic of it when I get home. It looks just like the underside that’s peeking out in your pics Billy. The ends shed pretty profusely and it also seems to stretch a bit when pulled along the grain of the knit. You can kinda see how nappy and matted it is in the pics I already posted.

Post once you gets yours in the mail Chad. Maybe this was just sitting around for a long time or was exposed to something that altered the texture cuz it looks much nicer in Billys pics
Ok, here are some some cell pics of my fabric; I can’t use my normal camera until Tuesday due to my fiancee using it. The fur part is pretty authentic to what the original is. The fabric is very similar in weight and hold as well. I don’t know if they sent me what they had left or what because my look totally different than yours. Mine is thick and fluffy.
As you can see, when the fiber is going the same way…it’s 100% spot on. I have no clue what sample they sent you.
Now, about your Halloween III hood. Yours looks different than what I have seen. Yours looks more, I really don’t know how to say it, stringy and shaggy. Everything what the Halloween III mask fabric, I’ve had 7 total original Green Witches from Halloween III, was not. You fabric looks nothing like I have seen before and will talk to DP and see what he says about it.

Yeah yours does look much fuller Billy. Cuz when I pinch my fabric as you did in the pic, it just splits apart down to whatever the fur is bonded to. I’ll be really interested to see what Chad gets in the mail.
As for the original hood I have, I’m fairly convinced it’s not faux fur at all. It’s more likely some type of fleece. It’s not fuzzy or hairy or anything like that.
Got mine in today… it looks to be the same stuff Matt posted. Not really happy w/ it and not sure if it’s the same as Billys… but doesn’t quite look like his pics.
It’s not the weight that bothers me as much as how it picks up lint and particles easily and it also looks like it pills.
It’s a bit stretchy too… nothing like an original plush hood. Color seems to be very good though.
If anyone wants mine I have enough to probably make 5-6 hoods - you can have it for what I paid.
Otherwise it’s going off to eBay. I’ll post pics soon.
