I didn’t like Julian either and feel that he played into tropes as well, until he ran off and let his elders die. I love Vanessa and I dislike Julian, sorry I don’t feel like he had a place in a Halloween movie either. Nothing to do with his skin tone, he was clearly an injection of comedy into a movie that did NOT need it.
You guys are essentially saying he was only in there because he was black basically…I def dont agree with that…They needed a kid to be babysat period…Is sheriff barker the same then? no…They needed a kid and his parents play in the sequel, keep in mind this movie had a sequel in mind from the get go…so whos to say they didnt already have him and his parents in mind…I think that black person in a horror movie dying shit has been done for years and years…
He kept adding comedic lines to a movie that wasn’t meant for that. He ruined the babysitter’s death (at least in my theatre) by making everyone laugh, that is NOT the point of a film like this. I didn’t even find him that funny.
Sorry for the double-post, but when Vicky died (literally the MOST Halloween part of the film ever, representing Linda/Annie from 1978) people were laughing SO hard. Whoever edited that scene dropped the ball in a bad way. It doesn’t do justice to the babysitters from the original film. I honestly feel that way.

I cannot WAIT for you all to see queen Vanessa in her glory. She is a bad ass QUEEN who slays in Halloween Kills. So glad they gave her a cameo in H’18

His comedy was also uncalled for, they should have really written it better, hell Michael easily killed that ballet dancer kid, everyone got scared about Michael walking past the crying baby and expected Michael to kill it, in my cinema, everyone laughed at Vickies death too, Julian was 80% of the problem in having horrible dialogue, Vickie slipping up in socks is also what makes it comical as well in my opinion

Well, Vicky slipping makes much more sense in the script, as earlier, when putting Julian to bed, she slides across the room to spark a little fun with him. I always thought the close up of her slipping was a bit too on the nose, but reading the script, having her slide across the floor would have made it make much more sense.

Just my prediction, doesn’t need to be confirmed or not, but they have 15+ people casted for “hospital mob”. I have a feeling this mob is the reason we’re gonna have such a high kill count. Michael is gonna be stalking people throughout Haddonfield Memorial taking them out one by one. Just a prediction though 
I remember reading the extras casting call for the mob back in late August, and they had asked for 300+ people! I kept thinking to myself, what in the world did they need that many people for? LOL!
Maybe they ask for 300 and only use a handful? I’m not too sure how the process works. I think you’ve seen the film so obviously you know what’s going on
NDA’d to hell (and rightfully so, since some people can’t keep their mouth shut publicly!), but they’re not lying when they say this is a ‘big’ film. LOL!

I mean, I kinda know whats gonna happen, it’s jut seeing it all go down. The execution is important. So and So could say Bill and Bob get killed in a horrific car accident, but until you see how it’s done, you won’t really know.
Unless there is massive twist, and this aIn’t the Saw series, I have no problem hearing tidbits here and there. I know what I’m gonna get, it’s just is it done right…
