***Halloween Kills & Halloween Ends Discussion***

Ah, I see them now! For some reason they were marked as read smh

I wasn’t coming at you. I knew where your ground stood and you were simply stating an unfortunate fact I had to comment on. I was mainly coming at the fact and people like PJ75 and Amorphous who’d think it’s okay to KEEP going that route, not you for feeling that way. You’re good with me dude.

And you’re either lying or have poor taste. The only good thing the 2018 had was bringing back Michael and Laurie being a warrior type person and the journalist angle and some little tid-bits not worth the mention because they’re so small. Everything else? Terrible.

Yet it did better than H5 which still got H6 to continue. So why couldn’t H8 get one? It still made more than half it’s budget back which shows it didn’t completely stain it as far as money. Yeah, it got panned, but hey, I’ve seen worse movies get panned and still get sequels.

And this just shows you have nothing else meaningful to be entertained in your life, nothing but pitiful Halloween movies by Blumhouse to look forward to like the sorry sod you are. Enjoy my humor while it lasts and can give you some form of entertainment. You seem to be living in a life of boredum to be called BORELOCK more than me dear. Put your crabby money where your mouth is. -_-

And? Doesn’t matter if you were banned from here or there. You’re on a different forum and most people usually change their names, not carrying it on everywhere they go. Can you not come up with a new one?

And straight to video is BETTER THAN NO MOVIE RELEASED AT ALL and we’ve had plenty of them theatrically so what is wrong? Ten movies in theaters isn’t good enough for you over a THIRTY-ONE YEAR PERIOD AT THAT? They ALL have to be warranted theater treatment? Shows how desperate you are to take whatever will keep your Halloween movies in the spotlight, which means pulling crappy retcons and retread ideas from the original movie and bringing back JLC simply as the saving grace and playing it “safe” with her too. Shame. Yes, Still dreaming of Thorn being tied to H20. Got a problem? Oh damn well.

Did you write all of that on your own? Good job little boy. I’ll give you half a cookie since giving you a whole one might give you the jump scares.

And who are you? Your name doesn’t ring a bell. Don’t be calling me “Carol” as that persona is long dead and you can’t even inform me who you are from OHMB to let me know your pitiful beef towards me. Wonderful.

Yes, a movie with a $13 million budget that made back $32 million in box office is a failure. Your comment is a failure trying to make a point and trash a movie and being too hateful to see how wrong you are. Stop making facts without actually checking the facts. The movie did better than you would have wanted it too. Made back more box office money from it’s budget than H4 and H5 did and they got sequels made to them continuing their stories and you’re fine with that. So this is a personal thing you have with HR and it’s sickening. Get over yourself. Besides, had Moustapha Akkad not died, I’m sure we would have gotten H9. But you know how the death of a series chairman can affect things drastically so there you go. Akkad would have never let a remake slide under his watch.

Well, at least you admit your desire for continuity overrides everything, so there’s no sense in bringing any real arguments to your silly points. Whether a film is good or bad means nothing to you. Hopefully everyone will gather from this there’s no point in trying to prove the merits of the reboots. I don’t even know where you’re getting your figures from H4 made more than triple its budget, well better performing than HR. That RZ remake you hate made almost 4 times its budget in the US alone, and H18 raked in nearly 16 times what it cost in US alone. The numbers are in so abandoning continuity proved a good move in this case though I know you don’t see that of course.

Good or bad the movies still EXIST and no stupid story retcon is going to erase them for real so NOT sorry if my silly point to deal with them and IMPROVE on these bad films and poor plot elements and make the BETTER because as a writer that should be accomplished and not brushed aside like that’s the end all be all decision. My way needs to be done so people like you can see how ALTERNATIVE THINGS CAN BE AND SUCCEED IF GIVEN A DAMN CHANCE. You don’t give chances to things to improve and it’s diabolical. No “retcon” needs to be done unless it’s a remake and a remake shouldn’t be done unless the original series is DONE FIRST. The continuity of the 1978 movie underwent a retcon already, it did not need another and at least with the first one all the movies could have been tied up still as H20 and HR provided little contradicting plot points to make things impossible outside of the “Michael’s been missing for twenty years” and THAT major plot point can easily be gotten around with a little help of the Thorn aspect of spell casting to wipe people’s minds and the corrupt U.S. government sealing files and blacking out articles to keep things hidden. To not take the opportunity to do something MIGHTY, GODLY, EXTRAORDINARY with this as I have in my fan-scripts is irresponsible.

See you’re new here as you only made four posts.

That’s just it, they exist. You can’t improve on them anymore than you could erase them. H5 and HR are still horrible. H6 is still a spliced up mess. Most of these issues stem from trying to keep in continuity. H6 didn’t improve on H5 and HR certainly didn’t improve on H20, that’s why the point is silly.

I added to my last comment providing a tid-bit how H4-H6 and H20-H:R could be merged together. Thorn and a corrupted U.S. government. There you go. You say “if you can’t improve, then you could erase them”? like NO. It never should be erased because it can ALWAYS be improved. The problem here is, no one ATTEMPTED to improve on anything. All these filmmakers did was say, “Well people didn’t like this and didn’t make sense so let’s get rid of it” and that’s just ONE movie. If H6 was so damn confusing and a mess, we could have gotten a sequel down the line to fix. Who cares if H6 didn’t fix H5. There wasn’t much wrong with H5 that needed fixing, it just had some story points that wasn’t resolved. H6 had the real mess since there was extensive reshoots and studio interference and Donald Pleasance dying, it wasn’t the movie’s fault. So it needed a sequel down the line to get it to make sense. And HR didn’t need improving as a film, since unlike H6 wasn’t disjointed. It just needed a continuation that tied things up since HR had things be random. We could have brought Laurie back, gave her a better role and develop on the darkness she could contain in her, expand on Sara more as she seemed like a potential Myers relative and make her existence more relevant to the story. Both H6 and HR just needed better stories to follow on from them that could have been accomplished if people took the time to actually THINK of them, which wasn’t the case and makers just made a quick and lazy copy-out decision. It should never come to that no matter how bad a movie is.

HR didn’t need any improvement and H5 didn’t have much wrong with it? Again, continuity over everything. They may have lined up plot-wise but they were terrible films. I don’t want wasted time and effort trying (in vain) to improve these terrible plot points, I want something good straight away. H18 is my favorite Myers sequel and it came 40 years later. That’s quite an achievement to me and Kills looks to be even better.

“Did you write all of that on your own? Good job little boy. I’ll give you half a cookie since giving you a whole one might give you the jump scares.”

No, actually, I didn’t. You did. Right? I mean you were bragging about your alternate fan script of H18 back in July, were you not?

HR didn’t really have anything plot-wise that needed improving. It just had apparently random characters most people found annoying and or bland, plot points that needed to be wrapped up like it was never confirmed that Laurie died nor was it definite as she could have survived that stabbing and fall. We didn’t know much on Sara and why she could foreshadow Michael before meeting him and why he seemed fixated on her a bit that could be developed more in a sequel. H5 just needed more expanding on the Man in Black and the Thorn symbol. The movies basically did what many movies do, they display plot points that are left unresolved for sequels to expand on. H6’s was much more complicated since the story it was building up to with the cult did not happen in it’s third act as one would expect and character motives suddenly changed like Wynn’s need for Danny and how Mrs. Blankenship tied into this and what she knew about the Smith’s Grove genetic experimentation if she knew anything of it at all and what business Loomis had to attend to since there was no stopping Michael with the runes this time as in the P-Cut so he was basically putting himself in harm’s way to talk down Michael or something? And as the movie was suppose to be the IT movie to explain everything it didn’t explain much and left more questions in and of itself like did Michael get the curse by the cult or the demon itself? Did Jamie get raped by Michael or was she artificially inseminated? Were the babies clones or Michael’s actual offspring? Was he forced to rape female patients in Wynn’s efforts to control him? What happened to the Carruthers? Whereas the P-Cut explained many of these things the T-Cut removes them and leaves it for the next movie to probably do, which isn’t good. H6 needed a continuation and expansion but also better fleshing out of things that should have been the case in it’s OWN movie as originally intended like with Thorn which was half-assed in the movie as a lot of it’s elements was cut and only made use in the scene where Tommy talks about it with Kara. The whole third act washes away with it and becomes all about genes and DNA tampering and the movie kind of implies a possibility that Michael might NOT be under the curse which is contradicting to it’s title. H6 is an example of a MESS of a movie that you can say needs improving.

That’s my point. YOU DON’T WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME so you’re not even gonna try to make them better and be quick and lazy to shove them to the side like an animal. Halloween 2018 was a terrible movie. Too many characters and many of them poorly developed and some that could have been cut altogether, rehash elements of the original, too many callbacks to movies we’re suppose to pretend never happened and yet being reminded of them, Laurie’s paranoia makes no sense over one night forty years ago, a rehash on Michael’s demise we’ve seen before, weak music scores, too much blood and gore like in RZ’s movies, etc. like so many problems and you’re too blunt to see it all.

July? I wasn’t even on here yet so where in July was I posting about my scripts that you even know of?

I only know your sour behind from this site, so it confused me you’re bringing up July, which is when I did start my script but how the Hell would you even know I mentioned it then which I did on OTHER sites? Which leads me to believe you knew me from somewhere else and or came across me mentioning them somewhere else. Probably stalked me on Facebook as I did make posts on them.

LOL. Maybe we’re old friends.

Old friends? Oh, how interesting. Gonna keep your identity a secret I suppose?

Well this thread went to shit.

Indeed.

All the fault of PJ75, Amorphous, and H8SUX being Blumhouse Halloween and retcon lovers. And given PJ75 responded to you and didn’t even acknowledge my comment, I guess this 45 year old bum isn’t gonna bother telling me how we’re “old friends”.

Yeah, shame on Blumhouse for making successful films.

What a mess. If you guys can’t follow the rules and simply respect the opinions of others, it might be time for a few time-outs. It’s really not hard to treat others with respect and simply keep scrolling if someone’s opinion doesn’t match yours.

I’ll be reviewing this thread and removing responses that go against our rules. If that’s an issue for anyone, I’d be happy to discuss it further via PMs.

Thanks man, Be careful though there are major spoilers from this guy. Doing it out of spite.

Why are you guys even bothering with this new member? don’t reply back to him/her, just ignore their comments.
