Lets get back to Hkills! This isnt a spoiler cause i know nothing! I do however think the myers house will be in this one. It could be a flashback, I am betting though that it is in current timeline as well, It was demolished in the BOOK, which is not canon to the movie, I see a lot of people speak about that as if it holds water to the movie and use it as the reason the house would not be in the movie.
I have thought the same thing. I hope it is, in both past and present, as you say. Present day might be a little more difficult to suspend disbelief that it would still be standing, though, if it were still abandoned. According to Brackett in the first film, no one lived in the house since 1963. So in 1978 it had been abandoned 15 years, plus another 40, it would look pretty bad at 55 years abandoned. If it had been bought and fixed up by someone at some point, who lived in it, or rented it, it might be a little more believable. That might take some of the scare out of it if it looks pretty again, though. Either way, I’m with you and will be excited to see if they use it in whatever capacity.
I wouldn’t be opposed to it, but I can’t think of a way that they would reincorporate it into the story. Laurie sets another trap there? Michael goes on a nostalgia trip? Or maybe it has been bought and refurbished and we get a routine babysitter kill there. Who knows

I love the guy they hired to play Tommy. I never in a million years would have considered him, but when he was announced I knew immediately he was the perfect choice. He actually looks like he could be the little boy we saw in the first film. Perfect casting. Hopefully they’ll keep him around until HE.

Jesus, I remember hearing about that “crazy” on the old board. Damn shame the new movie got spoiled for you guys (the spoilers are still up, by the way). There’s not much you can do to converse with someone who uses hundreds of words to say “NO, MY PRECIOUS CONTINUITY!” and who insults anyone that doesn’t agree.
I don’t know what it is about the Halloween fandom at times but it can really draw in the whack jobs aka some real Taxi Driver like shit.

In the final script there’s deleted dialogue from Hawkins stating the Myers house kept being vandalised so it was demolished and turned into a community memorial garden.
I’m definitely happy about that.
