how the fuck do you tie ALL the movies together? i know from the kills script we’re getting into the subtly supernatural and eerie, but i seriously wonder how the hell they’re going to do this without something stupid. i imagine it’ll probably be something ambiguous more so than outright. like the shape being a literal personification of pure evil existing beyond the current timeline or something like that. it’ll probably be hokey, but as long as it’s executed well and isnt goofy ill probably dig it.
as for the time frame, apparently kills and ends take place almost real time according to that video. so like 4 hours after the end of halloween 2018 i assume ends would be over. really hope that whatever the ending is, it ends with something like an appropriately eerie sunrise if we’re going into november 1st.
I don’t know, personally I kinda like the fact that Laurie is a survivor it’s what makes her the best scream queen right? I mean I know we’re seeing the movies now pretty much to watch Michael Myers but I’m not totally sold on the strode family needing to all die but maybe Laurie I dunno lol
Yep I agree that’s basically how I have been seeing it as well is they are clearly grooming her to take Laurie’s place or that’s certainly what they would have us believe.
I’m so tired of the badguy always being overcome and defeated in the end. It happens in like 90% of movies in general and like 99.8% of slasher movies. For once I’d like to see Michael actually win outright. No sort of’s. No “he kind of did, but so and so is still alive.” No. I want absolute flawless victory. No more final girls. No one is left alive. Only Michael is left standing. All others are dead.
That to me would be the perfect ending.
Then reboot the franchise.
(For God’s sake how many times do we need to see the hero overcoming Michael or screwing up his plans? It’s happened in literally every single movie in the franchise. I’m ready for something different)
Think of it this way, whether Laurie/Allyson lives or dies the series is going to be rebooted after HE. DGG and McBride have both said as much. So no matter what we’re going to get a fresh start after this trilogy is over. There’ll likely be no revisiting these characters. So why not end it with Michael winning? Let him have it for once.
Yeah I hear you there, the hero almost always wins but they didn’t in 1978 though which was supposed to be a stand alone film. I agree it would be nice to see Myers win and it be a “sad” ending with closure for the new reboot. They would be different for sure [emoji106]
It won’t be a sad ending, considering H20 has already done the 2018 story, I would like to see all the Strode members die for good in Kills, they have 3 girls and they can all die in 3 acts, then Ends can be a different story, rather than the Strode surviving again, Michael should kill again with new victims like Ressurection as Adamantium says

As far as it taking place on the same night it makes total sense and is pretty cool. I don’t think a franchise has ever had three movies taking place on the same night. Also Halloween has always in my eyes ended when the sun comes up which I assume is when the film will end. H18 ends at 11pm or 12am-ish. Kills I think has been confirmed as almost real time so likely ends around 3am and then Ends is the rest.
I’m going to try my best to not read the Ends scripts as it would really take away something knowing how all of this well…Ends. I would like to read maybe the first few pages though just to get a sense of where this is going.
