Here are some shots I did tonight. I will do outdoor shots tomorrow at some point. I think it actually looks pretty good for mass produced. A rehaul will bring it home nicely.
As for the fit, it’s definitely not skin tight like the TOTS 2018 mask, and it’s nowhere near as big as the TOTS H78. For me, it fits perfect. I have a 24" head. So for those that were hoping it wasn’t as huge as the H78, it’s definitely not that big.
For those worried it’s going to be super small, it’s not as small as the 2018. In my opinion, it fits more like the TOTS H6 mask, or if we compare it to the H1SM78, it’s slightly bigger than that. I think it’s sitting at a nice size for most people.
As for the paint work, it’s a mass produced mask so we can’t be expecting a crazy level of detail. I think for what it is it’s just fine, especially if you are going to be out at night or in low light. It’s going to look great in those settings. In bright light it’s not as appealing. But the detail in the sculpt is there, and with a proper rehaul, this will look killer.
The gunshot wound area looks a 1000 times better than the 2018 version with the gunshot wound. Huge improvement there.
My personal opinion, I’m actually pretty satisfied with how this mask turned out. Tons of potential here.
Great pics Mike! Like you said this mask definitely has potential with a rehaul but doesn’t look too bad right out of the box either. At least certain copies and it looks like you have a good one! Great review too man. Can’t wait to see your outdoor pics
Thanks Jay, yeah this is a pretty good copy. Should have outdoor pics up later. I will try and do some daylight and night shots as well. See what I can come up with.
Thanks for the size examples I wasted 500+ dollars trying to find a 2018 mask that fits and I was never able to. If this fits like the H6 then I am finally in business!
My second mask came in, this is the one I ordered from Collector’s Row. It’s actually not too far off with the differences in paint work. There are however, differences. Here are side by side shots in a direct lighting setup, with the Collector’s Row mask on the right, and the Comic-con mask on the left.
The Collector’s Row mask has a little less of the black paint. It’s really not too drastic of a difference between the two. The blood drip from the gunshot wound is better on the mask from the Comic-con.
The fit of the masks are only slightly different due to one being thicker than the other. Still fits like of glove on my 24" head. No issues wearing either of these.
Pretty cool Mike! I like them both but the Comic con one is my overall fave. Prob the best non-converted one I’ve seen yet I’m looking forward to grabbing one this fall
