It only works in the right lighting and paint
Nik’s is nice but his Myers finishing is usually average at best. Hence why people buy blanks from him to be finished by other artists. His new “version” of this new sculpt is nice for sure but still doesn’t equal it.
I think I’d have to agree with this. Comparing the two to the hero, you can see which matches better. Nik’s mask just looks off to me. It’s something about the lower half, looks like it had a mouth full of marbles or something.
I’ve yet to see this done with niks mask, I mean every single major detail lines up and this wasn’t even the final sculpt:

If it turns out to be Ken then I’m out. Not going through that again. lol
I just don’t know that the finish work on these prototypes is quite to Ken’s level. Not that these are bad looking masks, but I’d still like to see a pull sent to one of the big name finish guys. The sculpt is unrivaled IMO, but sculpting and finish work are two totally different things as we all know.

Just to provide a little update: the pandemic has made mohair difficult to acquire at a reasonable price, as well as a reasonable source, so I’m still actively searching.
As far as my identity is concerned, I believe the revelation will be underwhelming when the time finally arrives.
As for worn images, I don’t have a ton at this time. My face shape is all wrong for pulling off the correct look (The irony, I know). I did, however, get a friend to suit up briefly some time ago.
This was a quick impromptu attempt at getting a similar angle to the phone scene. I didn’t have the original image in front of me when I took the shot, and I improvised on the lighting, but the result didn’t turn out too bad. Hope you enjoy, thank you!
This, along with the Dennis Beckstrom 2 are really the only masks that I feel truly capture what Michael Myers looks like in Halloween 1. Nothing else really comes close in my opinion. Sorry if you have a mask made by another major artist, but this tops it.
Ahhhh the DB2!!! Still amazing how accurate it is to this day! I agree! This upcoming mask will be the game changer, just like when the KHDW and NNM 78 4 stamp came out! We have a new generation of kings here!!!
