this dude is a Myers fanatic and has wanted a screen accurate mask so badly that he was forced to make it himself, kudos man the creative drive is inspiring
Just put all my time in reading from post 1 to now, and man was that a wild ride. I can for sure say, that this is the best H1 myers mask with the Castle Stretch implemented. Nothing really tops this in my opinion, seriously this thing is phenomenal. Props to this guy. Hopefully we get these in different sizes. To top that off, I hope we get a mask without the stretch; more of a DPS 75 Kirk. This is my opinion but I personally don’t like Myers masks with the stretches sculpted in them as you can make your own stretch by the right stuffing or by opening your mouth; if not at least close. If this guy can nail a Castle Stretch look, man you know how accurate a 75 Kirk replica by this sculptor would look like? Then as well apply the TLW method of converting the mask that was seen in Sean’s video? You could most likely have the most accurate unworn H1 mask out there if he made a unworn Kirk or Myers mask without the Castle Stretch implemented. What a time to be alive during the Myers community, but hopefully no more negativity comes out during these harsh times like these. Props again for this guy for making this magnificent sculpt.
The way it could be done is having a minor sag in the features, since it was worn a lot and not taken care of very well, but I don’t see why a kirk version is needed if people are just gonna convert it, sure it’s a fun project, but we already have the TOTS Kirks and numerous kirk blanks to do the same thing with
1962, I really appreciate the offer, but I think I’m going to hold off for now. I’m trying to find a good bulk supplier. I’m looking into a few potential places, and hopefully it pays off.
Speaking of a non stretched mask, I have this earlier test casting that took on a more neutral Kirk like shape. I assume from the way I had it resting after being pulled. It’s not perfect. It still has some elements of the Castle distortion, but not too bad for an unintended result. Thanks for looking!
I was simply posting that to put out an idea, sure it’s not needed but it would be great to see. The Myers legitimately came from a converted Kirk mask and the distortions are from the wearer’s head shape. I’m not sure if you know what I mean; what I mean is that if people want the unworn look of a Myers mask, a 75Kirk replica would be great as it would be the most accurate Kirk or one that would look almost as close to the Don Post ones. Reason I am putting that suggestion out is because many others, including myself, enjoy Kirk masks and a kirk that looks like Nick Castle is wearing it just wouldn’t look right. Like you said, people are going to convert the Kirk, and thats the point. If you want the most accurate Myers mask, then it has to be converted. I’m not sure if you also read what I wrote, I said either a Kirk OR a Myers, meaning the unworn Kirk/Myers could already be painted as a Kirk or a Myers. The main point of view I’m trying to put out is that I’d like to really see if this guy could pull off making a 75 Kirk replica, that could be finished as a unworn Myers; instead of making it look like Castle is wearing it. Again, like I stated it’s not hard to pull off a Castle Stretch or a Dick Warlock stretch, you just need to stuff your mask good or add hard sponge on the inside; get creative. The only MAIN reason why I’m suggesting a 75 Kirk replica/ Unworn Myers is because when having a Castle stretch in your mask, if you get the mask too small, the stretch will be larger and will look nothing like what was seen on screen; whike getting a larger mask, yes it will look good on you but the mask will look too big, most likely you’d get a medium mask. But just like artificial shadows, implementing a stretch has it’s flaws but pros too. I mean alreadg TLW showed us people don’t need artifical shadowing to show shadows; it’s all lighting. Plus I think having your own head shape and what not makes the appearance of the mask “special” as it’ll take whatever head shape you have; pencil shape will take a Castle looking stretch while wider heads will have a Warlock stretch, it’ll be natural. Also on the note of the TOTs Kirks, yes the TOTs Kirks are good masks and so are the rest, but for those people who want high accuracy and high quality masks, a 75 Kirk replica by this sculptor would be a game changer.
There, that’s a great example. I’m all for natural head shapes having their own special stretch. Hopefully you’ll produce some type of 75 Kirk with the Kirk eyes. To really replicate and be close to the original Myers, you must first go back to the origin; that being a 75 Kirk. Amazing man, great photo.
No, I get that, however, we have many kirk sculpts that even come from a kirk mold, it would be easier just to get that, rather than have another kirk sculpted and then converted and it’s just another Kirk you can get off the shelf, if that makes sense, and yes not everyone has a Nick Castle head, and stuffing it right plays a big part in the stretch, I didn’t mean for it to come off as a rude comment

Yeah, I do agree we have many Kirk masks, but just like the trend of making masks with the Nick Castle stretch, why not make more Kirks? Especially one made by this talented guy. More is good anyways lol, it would be excited to see anyways.
Only 8 were made, why I put that option out there is for more people to have a chance at having a grail Kirk. I’m not saying unworn Myers aren’t a thing; I fully know there is. My point being that I’d like to see THIS artist attempt at making a unworn Myers/Kirks. We can already see this guy’s Castle Stretch would most likely be a game changer, now imagine him making unworn Kirks, would be this new generation’s of Myers fans game changer Kirk/Myers.
If TOTS used better Latex that wasn’t stiff and put blonde hair on their kirks, it would be a lot of fun converting them, and it would be nice to have a Kirk that would just be out of one mold that would be able to be like the DP kirk since those are most likely rotting at this point
Yeah that’s what I mean. I mean the only CLOSE Kirk we have ever seen is that one Kirk that NAG owned, which was laserscanned from Chan’s Kirk, or the Million Dollar Kirk I believe? And then NAG handed it to Jimmy Falco who owns it now. Not much Kirks come close to that but man if this guy can replicate the Castle Stretch, it would be fun to see how he can approach making a Kirk sculpt, or a unworn Kirk/Myers, it would be a new game changer for a new generation of mask collectors. (Edit: As well as another game changer for veteran collectors as well!)
Most likely interesting, but the KH’s were meant to be Myers sadly, and again like most of high quality masks, were limited. Hopefully this mask isn’t limited, or is at a good price at least. I really like the KH Ultimate idea though, now you got me wondering how that would look lol.
