How would one go about ordering this mask? Do I have to make a Facebook account? Is there a website?
I’m hoping to have some info in about a week. Once again, “life has gotten in the way”, such as it does, but in spite of the slowdown, I’m close to realizing the final piece of what I need to call this thing a completed project.
(I have no idea why all of my images appear sideways, at least they do on my phone, it doesn’t seem to matter what size image I post.)
I was able to split the prototype head form in half successfully without creating any undercuts, which was then used to cast two bucks. I was also able to form a crude prototype that wound up fitting the mask quite well (the really bad picture with the potato chips in the corner). So between making adjustments on the new thermoformer on my side of town, and the machine that Scott is planning to build on his side of town, perhaps some new ‘Uncanny Valley’ masks may hopefully be in the works, fingers crossed.
The images are probably still really big, really liking the progress of what has been happening though!
Such a treat to see new pictures of this beast. I keep coming back to the forum only for this thread haha.

Been awhile since I reviewed this thread but man am I glad I did. This thing is looking amazing. Interested to see how many copies will be released and price point.
I admit this mask is growing on me the more I look at it. At first I wasn’t a huge fan, and I do still have others I like more, but this is moving up my list of one to get if I have the chance and the price is right. If not, no big deal, I will enjoy seeing others show off their copies when they get them. He seems to really be putting care and attention into it and you have to respect that.
And hey at least it’s real and not an april fool’s joke as some of us originally figured it was lol.

I’d like to take this opportunity to provide a small update for you guys, as James will likely take a little time to himself before he starts production back up.
Without sharing his personal business, which he may comment further on in time, the personal life obligations that James has spoken of in this thread have become an absolute top priority at the time and he will return to production as soon as possible. I’m not suggesting an extended hiatus by any means, but I’d imagine James will take the next couple weeks off for personal reasons and won’t be around to update anyone.
Please keep in mind that this project is still under the final tweaking process and is near completion. I personally saw a prototype of the inner shell he’s created and it’s fantastic. It keeps the Castle shape perfectly and does not stretch or harm
the mask in any way. All future customers will be thrilled with this, as it also acts as a stand for the mask, as well.
I’d like to also emphasize that James has not accepted a single order as of yet, nor has he taken a dime from anyone. While I understand the process of this project has been a bit longer than what we generally have come to expect with other artists, I can say (as his friend and business partner over the past several years) that James’ work ethic is like no other when it comes to perfecting a piece. So I urge anyone who’s frustrated with the wait to remember that James is working on nobody’s schedule but his own, but from what I’ve seen, things are look good be nearing completion. Until then, please be considerate of the process and understand that nobody is owed anything and all good things come to those who wait.
Perhaps I can get a photo or two for you guys soon to hold you over until the next update.

You guys be assured that people will wait. I’ve waited years for some pieces and it’s not a problem for most people to wait in order to get a true game changer piece. James has done what nobody hasn’t.
I check this thread everyday hoping that James announce a pre order or something, and I don’t mind doing the same for weeks (or months) lol.
Again, congratulations for bringing this “beast” to the community. Still can’t believe how good of a sculpt, and mask, this has become.
Oh wow, this one is amazing. Stoked to see it fully finished. Defiantly will be checking back frequently to see this completed. Hopefully there’s enough to go around
