There’s a ton of molds out there that have lineage to an original 1975 Kirk. I actually got a replica Kirk in the mail on Monday that was descended from the Medleys’ 1975 Kirk mask. There’s a thread around here somewhere with the lineage charts.
This ^ lots of kirk recasts have been manse, some more accurate than others.

You need to state the MCS Kirkus master has Medley eyes. It’s a hybrid
A few of the masks on there are hybrids I just hadn’t listed them all as such when I initially made them. I also need to add the 10/31 since it’s technically a kirk derived retool. Just thought I’d post them now as a placeholder since they were brought up

Another addition is the DRM 75/78 (formerly H1SM). Retool of the H2SM mold.
Slightly off topic but just for info sake,The William shatner lifecast is what was used to sculpt the original 75 Kirk. Not all original 75 Kirk’s will look the same due to multiple molds made for production(video on YouTube of don post studios, showing how multiple molds are made from one Master copy) that or the detail gets warn out eventually and you get smoother pulls lacking detail and shape from a mold with 20 plus pulls.
also finsihing of the seam, plus air bubbles,each mold probably has different defects and small distortions. Just a neat little thought to know that some 75 Kirk’s,while identical,will have their own attributes that another may not have and from looking at the original hero, it has some defects I haven’t seen on certain Kirk’s.
I’ve seen some great sculpts using the shatmer lifecast latley(imo some better then being molded from original Kirk’s,and being molded from the source that created those Kirk’s in the first place) a bit hard to follow so I’m sorry ,Just my insight on the Kirk molds.

Jay Allen, a member of the community, obtained a 1975 kirk. I know you said you’re new, but I assume you know thats the rarest of the rare! lol. Here is Jay’s copy:
he sent the kirk to Terry at CGP for foam filling to help preserve the mask, this is what he got back from Terry:
Eventually through court sessions between Jay and Terry, and many threads on here, it was revealed that Terry stole Jays kirk sent him the above recast/fake, and destroyed the original Kirk in the process:
There is a full picture floating around but I can’t seem to find it.
Through all of that, Terry made up other fake companies, lied and said he had terminal cancer, ran around etc. And that’s just on the Jay Allen situation. Other incidents have happened as well. And now people try to say Terry has turned a new leaf and that he’s righted his wrongs and I cannot stress enough how much I disagree. What he did is simply awful and his masks have been far surpassed in terms of accuracy.

Still amazes me how much Terry f***ed that Kirk up so badly,must have tried to use plaster or something crazy directly on the surface and it probably dried/burned the original old,already brittle latex, hence why it’s shriveled and cracked to hell… Just insane.I remember reading thru all those threads in the early 2000s in disbelief.
yup, same here. I always really liked the look of the Jay Allan Kirk. It’s a real shame what was done to it.
It’s my understanding that the mask was a freehand sculpt by Justin.
Yeah, it’s a ground up sculpt, Justin posted a video awhile ago on his Instagram of the process.
