Paints coming along well! It’s really bringing out so many details I never knew existed, or were brought out with any wash
Looking good so far!!
Thanks man! Can’t wait to see yours, and the hair too
I got the hair prepped and ready. I can post a picture, but I don’t want to hijack your thread.
Oh sweet! You can post all you want, I don’t mind if you do or don’t.
Oh sweet! Looks nice and worn out, is that a mix of anything or just straight mohair or crepe?
It’s crepe hair I got from Etsy. Dark brown and gray mix. I did change the color a bit.
How’s the mask going?
Good! The paints getting nice and built up, its a bit too white so I’m gonna add more green and off white to my future mixes. I’ll post a picture when the base is actually done and sealed. Yours?
Sounds like it’s coming along nicely. Can’t wait to see it.
Mine’s going well. Hair is on and styled for the most part. Need to add paint to the hair, add the mold, and then it should be done.
Sweet! Why add paint to the hair though, to get it all matted down and stuff?
Ohhh right. I always wondered how they made the hair so matted down and old, without any gel or actuall hair product.
I used a clear acrylic varnish to plaster the hair down first and then painted after. Working on mold now and will hopefully have it done by the end of the week.
Sweet, I got varnish too for the burnt side of any Kills mask. I’ll give it a go with the hair too!
Ends mask is looking great so far man!
The base tone issue strikes again lol, sometimes it looks more minty while sometimes its more like a strong greenish cream color. I might do some washes just for experimenting, as seen on the VVD mask
This is the current stage. I definitely think its too soft in terms of color, so after completing the base I’ll seal it and maybe mess around with washes to darken it and saturate it just a bit to get that age. P
I don’t think the base color looks too soft, it looks excellent!. I wish I could get that much detail on my kills
