Okay guys I just am seeking some clarification here. I have a guy on IG trying to get my JC DB2 and his selling point is “…they’re basically the same, 12 Captain Kirk 12 Michael Myers for DB2. And then only 20 ID masks were created…”
I’ve turned down offers for 3 separate ID + cash, and know of 8 people who own one. Then there is the maniac Caleb Croft who owns 2. I know JC has done 9 of them. But this guy asked me the exact number that have been released which I could not provide.
If anybody knows a roundabout number on ID masks created please let me know.
See this is exactly what I told him. There’s no way 50% of ID masks were sent over to JC. I remember the last copy I saw with a number was 42 or 43 and then I just started seeing new copies.
It was weird because he kept us up to date with the entire sculpting process and the orders flooded in. Do you onow if he broke the mold? I don’t recall it ever being a limited run by any means. But even if I’m mistaken on the number, you’ve helped greatly. He’s basically trying to tell me “it’s preference” between a DB2 which legitimately had 24 masks, many of which are gone, and an ID which I thought you could still get a blank of? I was in the original run with Somballah but ended up saying forget it so I am unsure of exaxt numbers like the KHU. Thank you for your r3sponse though man. I figured at least 100 were produced considering demand but I could be wrong. I just knew 20 was a way to get my DB2 so seriously thank you
See man you were actually an example I used! I told this guy “your mask is nice but I have a friend who owns 2 ID masks both by JC - you’re telling me I know somebody with 10% of all in existence?”
I agree with you and believe like the PS78 it should be a mask available all the time. I don’t really understand it all as it stands now because Somballa said to me he wouldn’t break the mold and didn’t give a direct number produced. I remember the vast amount of interest and orders placed and there’s no way only 20 exist.
I did get specific with the fact JC has done 9 or 10 of these masks but you’ll probably know better than me. What is an approximation of the masks produced? I told him 200 but literally just guessed as I didn’t even realize he halted production. I’d appreciate any insight into if or when there will be another run and exactly or close to how many were made originally?
And for me personally you hit the nail on the head. The ID is the only mask worn and displayed giving the DB2 a run for it’s money especially your copies and photography. Thanks for the photos brother
Bro those last two photos are genuinely some of my favorite you’ve taken. Did you need to open your mouth or use any foam for these photos? They genuinely are reminiscent to the film to the extent if you made them B&W and grainy I’d believe they were BTS photos.
Also didn’t just wanna edit my first comment. I’d not say one of the best. Aside from the DB2 which was basically a gift to us, I personally believe the ID to be THE best 1978 mask available. I’m not sure how much your great photography plays in but I see The Shape in ways other masks cannot come close to pulling off.
You freaking OWN THE mask…What i mean is this mask (your specific copy) whether worn or not is the closest IN MY EYES to the original 78 there ever will be. It represents the most iconic looks of myers.
Wait is this the same copy as below or are they different? The hairline and styling is so similar it’s tough for me to tell. Also do you know if he is still offering ID masks? I’ve had different things told to me and have no idea

Which one is your favorite? I definitely see the subtle differences now. The neck length looks slightly different but I think it’s the angle. These both scream 1978 to me. If ya don’t mind me asking brother which mask is your favorite and why? Thanks for the photos dude. I wish I had good coveralls to suit up like you do.
