What’s your favorite size / heigh for the shape ? Do you think that the original version (5’9’‘/5’10’‘) was the best or do you go with the heigh of 6’2’’ like Durand, Wilbur, Shanks and Loree ? Or maybe Michael should be a giant like Tyler Mane ?!
I really love the 2 original movies, so i’m going with nick castle & dick warlock. I also think that Michael Myers looks creepy with this size 'cause the shape should have an normal / average size.
The Tyler Mane Style just looks like any other movie-killer today.
Yes, i am all for the original look of Michael,Castle was perfect for it at 5’10-5’11 i am 5’11 myself and i think it’s the best height for Myers, 6’9 was crazy but worked for the modern era to some degree.
Yeah I agree, the more average Mike was the better, me personally, love Warlocks height but that may be a little unfair seeing that I am only 5’8. But Nick, as everyone for the most part agrees, was the best. Although I do like RZ Halloween and also like Mane but do feel that it’s a completely different world and completely different Myers. More size because he is more brutal. But long story short, average height is the best.
Agree dudes. I prefer vintage Myers over new, because I can relate to vintage Mike’s height, as I myself am a slim 5’10" 155lbs. I feel that I fit the vintage mold perfect; however, I do have an RZ Myers costume to go along with my original.
i mean if were talking original michael i would think 6 1’ and a half would do…i saw a michael myers wanted dead or alive poster i forget who released it…it said he was 6 1 and a half 200 pounds…it could be a slim 200 as thats what i am at 6 ’ i dont like the 6 ft something with bulk like h 6 michael…but anyway after seeing that poster i always held michael myers to that height and weight…and told everyone thats what he was that asked me.
but if were talking RZ he would have to be tall, as a matter of fact i would like my modern michael a little tall and slim, think about it a shorter guy just wouldnt of worked in RZ’s… id like to see another reboot with an average sized man.
i just dont see the ‘‘hulkness’’ in tyler that everyone speaks of…he is lanky as hell man which is awesome for myers…i mean RZH2 he was more bulky…but in RZs H1 man he looked perfect…i loved every second of tyler mane as michael myers.

I just love the way he walks with a bit of a wobble as his feet his the floor.and the way his hands are possisioned in H6 in the final scene as he came in to the “chemical” room is just great! The only reason I never pick castle in these kind of threands is because that was the first of ALL the michaels in other words they didn’t REALLY have a good surdy way of how he would walk or movie(not to mention the insane number of different people that played Myers in H1) but yeah of coarse the H1 Michael is the best of them all because he is what got us here and I will always love that one the best.
Big Mikey I agree, but from watching many commentary in Halloween n asking at conventions who was wearing the Shape in certain scenes I think Nick had a very graceful walk that some of the others didn’t have in part one while wearing the costume. He seemed to almost be just gliding along. But George had a very slow and steady pace that was creepy.
Just had this discussion with a coworker the other day. He prefers the enormity and power of the RZ Shape. I prefer the original. The new version is intimidating, but the Castle-sized average height made him – creepier and more evil. I liked that he (Castle’s Shape) wasn’t insanely powerful, just unstoppable.
Height doesn’t matter to me. Obviously there’s a limit to that, but considering there’s been so many different sized Myers’ over the years, I can’t say I’m bothered when the height comes down to mere inches.
I do think the presence is important though, and I think the best Michaels (in my opinion, Nick Castle and Tyler Mane) had that.
I actually had this problem figuring out which Myers to do and what size mannequin to get but couldnt make up my mind… So I got a 6’2 and did a Durand H20 and a 6’10 Mane RZ style. still working on them but shou;d have them complete by Halloween!!!

lol he lifted a grown man with one hand…and it was his non dominant hand…whilst stabbing him in the chest LOL hes pretty strong man

Castle’s Shape had super human strength, but his strength wasn’t what visually defined him. RZ’s Shape seemed to be defined by his physical presence (clearly the reason for using Mane). For Castle, his deceptive size in relation to his presence made him feel creepier. IMHO anyway. Then again, I’m the old guy here with only 30 or so posts…lol.
How ever tall Nick Castle is. He originated the character, every movie since has tried to be like him (although I prefer Dick’s look in the second movie)
If Nick Castle was 5’11", that is how tall Michael Myers is. End of story.
okay guess im wrong thats not strength at all just force…LOL …i get it…just saying… disreguarding the height factor…ppl say the original michael is a force…but since tyler is bigger its called strength? haha if your gonna say og michael was a force id say tyler was too dont care if i get shot for saying it…its true. i know plenty of people who are enormous and still dont have strength like that…hes tall and skinny he barely fills out the costume…if rz wanted a bulky michael he would of left the lining in the coveralls but that wasnt what he was going for…too many OG fans missed the point of tyler mane’s michael myers i feel. of course none of that holds merit when it comes to h2 though cause yes…he was a hulk in h2
