Just over a month ago a member bought a WMP Nightstalker from me that i had overhauled,he also paid a very substantial amount of money for this piece aswell,i shipped the mask with tracking and insurance cover like always and i even opted to pay for a slightly speedier service which would have guaranteed the mask to get to the recipient / destination a day or two quicker,we kept monitoring the tracking each day and it actually arrived in the USA from the UK in 3 days from me posting it so that was pretty good going then it never got any updates for a while and i was getting a bit angry because i had paid for a faster service which would have guaranteed the mask get to the recipient within 5-6 days by this time it had been 2 weeks and still nothing then 3 weeks and still nothing all the while the member was being very patient about things then the mask has finally arrived on his doorstep after exactly one month to the day in an absolute terrible state,he has told me the box was smashed to hell all squashed and things and the mask is in real bad shape all the face is squashed in and everything some of the hair has quite literally been torn away you would think someone has taken that mask out of the box prior to delivering it and sabotaged it to hell’ it’s so bad as you can imagine he is very upset about this just as much as i am’ you can’t trust anyone to do their job these days at all, i can’t even claim a refund for damaged goods because i don’t have a receipt for proof of purchase and value and to add to that Royal Mail won’t refund unless it was damaged whilst it was in their hands but how could i prove that either way,i know for a fact this has happened whilst it has been sitting in USPS storage/depot awaiting delivery and has had the shit kicked out of that box in the depot and why has it taken so long to be delievered anyway, i pay for a 5-6 day service that has taken a month to get there as i say i am very upset right now as is the member who now has the mask.he took some pics of how it looks and i am truly appalled and disgusted

Just have the buyer glue the hair down and put some trashbags inside while displaying it. When he wears the mask it wont be pushed it like that, unless his face looks like that in real life. I mean whats the big deal, its not ripped or anything. It could have been worse, I mean really.
That’s not the principle,the guy is very upset as im sure you would be if you had just forked out $500 like he did and the mask arrives to you in this state,its easy for you to sit there and say it’s no big deal because you have no involvement here.
Damn dude, that really sucks. Customs may have opened the box and just didn’t give a crap afterwards. The mask should regain is shape quite quickly once it gets stuffed just right and displayed for a while. It’s good to know you’re being flexible with the dude you sold it to.
Yeah that’s what ive told him pretty much,it will get back it’s shape with some nice stuffing and displayed correctly he has been very cool about it all things considered.but upset which is understandable,i’d be proper pissed personally but that’s me.

As others have stated it can be fixed by stuffing it correctly, but to be honest this doesn’t shock me one bit I have seen some videos on youtube that show how our packages are handled.
Yeah makes you sick Sean’ that they treat our prized possessions like dog sh!t and hoof them from pillar to post,i’d like to do that with their faces’ see how they feel having a smashed in face and hair ripped from their heads i’d get great pleasure from doing that to the person that was responsible for this.
Damn right Jay,i am mighty angry believe me’ not just in the masks current state but also in the amount of time it has taken to get there,i won’t bother with the faster shipping service next time as it’s taken 3 weeks longer than the standard shipping service and cost more aswell’ bloody absurd.
I did not get any pics of the box. I didn’t think anything of it because I’ve gotten masks in boxes that looked somewhat beat up but the mask was always fine. The box itself was already half open so i just cut the corners and opened it up. I didn’t want to tape it up and then take pics because then it would have looked fishy on my part. Everything will be ok, I’ve got the hair glued back down and have it stuffed. I’ll work with the shape a bit. It’s still a shame our packages get treated this way. It was bad enough waiting a month then having to deal with this. Just crazy. It’s still a great looking mask and I couldn’t be happier now that I know I can work with it and restore it to normal.
That’s a damn shame man. Luckily it sounds like you will be able to restore the mask. I had a similar incident a couple months ago. Got my Mayhem LE in the mail and the box was crushed, the limited stand was broken. Pissed to high heaven’
I am glad you are cool with this Justin’ and i am sure you will get that guy looking tip top in no time man, i just feel bad about this whole ordeal i really do,ive never had a deal go this route before thats probably why i am feeling like this but when you post your next batch of pics with him looking in better shape i will be much happier,i grew a real bond to this one as i do all the masks i put my craft into,give him a bit TLC dude and he will give you many happy years of enjoyment
Yeah some tlc and it should be back to looking good again but jeez… I understand Anthony’s attitude over this though being a fellow artist myself… We take pride in our work as it is almost a piece of us! We stuff it, bag it, and pad it for shipping so it looks exactly how it did when it left when it gets to its destination… Just amazes me that people don’t care enough about their job to do it well… I know if I didn’t do my job well, i wouldn’t have it anymore, but here i am going on 20 years at the same place… It seems these postal workers that handled this package are about as skilled as some of the fast food workers we have around here… If you can’t do your job right, then don’t do it at all… I am sorry for your customer Anthony my man and i am sorry that you had to see this happen to your art work… It truly saddens me…

Even though it may seem like a waste of time, you guys BOTH need to raise hell to them about it.
You need to be a pain in their ass so much so that you get something out of it.
I know everything is fine but by letting it go will not raise awareness about the issue of the companies.
This is why I asked if you had pictures of the box. Further evidence of them mishandling peoples stuff.

You hit it right on the nail benny,we take much pride in our work and it is like a piece of us’ Exactly,we put many devoted hours of love care and attention to every conceivable detail into these pieces to get the best we can from them and we are proud of what we have created,then someone comes along and pisses on your parade and tries to disfigure your creation,it is gut wrenching and i feel sick right now even though Justin is cool about things,as i say i will be much happier once he shows some pics of the mask in better shape,and thanks for the condolences my fellow artistic brother it is really appreciated!
All i can do is mention it to my local PO,i am pretty sure my shipping company i used aren’t responsible for this.the mask arrived in 3 days to the US then sat for nearly a whole month where ever it was sat in USPS Storage which i pretty much guarantee if i got lieutenant Columbo on the case he would find that the suspect to be held accountable would originate from that premise.
Not telling you guys what to do but if your part was not at fault here (it did get to the US in the time you paid for) then Justin needs to contact the exact facility it arrived at and sat, and complain and be the biggest pain in the ass. You guys cant let them get away with it.
Justin can do that if he so wishes but they will get away with it and continue to do so,no matter how much complaining you do to these companies it just gets swept under the rug,we will never find out who was solely responsible for this it could have been a multitude of people responsible for this,all i do know is i have shipped US for years and on a regular basis and this is a first for me so ive either been lucky in all that time or this has just been a one off occurance.and every other time i have shipped the mask has arrived in no more than 8 days and no less than 5 and in perfect condition everytime
