I disagree with this, I am a fan of a particular style of Myers…the goofy Myers or part 4, the bad masked Myers of part 5, the chubby tight clothed Myers of part 6 and the ape faced Myers of part 8 are just does not portray the character in a way is becoming of him. So I LOVE Myers, but thats like saying if i dont buy a don post mask because it looks shitty that i am not a myers fan…
I doubt you would say that when, lemme see…1…2…3…6 Michaels cornered you. RZ Myers alone would make you shit your pants.
Well i for one dont hate any of the films. Theres certain things i love about each film and then theres stuff that i dont like but… Im Myers Fan for life!
I think by not buying a don post makes you a fan. Those things are ridiculously crap. However, I’ll have to hold my tongue on the deluxe 2006 don post. I saw a picture of it a few years back, and was blown away. Then again, I was only 12 or 13.
What I REALLY hate is when you order 4 meals for 4 people and they only give you ONE ketchup, they forget the CHEESE and your Diet Coke is Regular!!!

As far as people not liking the “Fat” Michael, I just have to say that if you think about it…How much time has passed since H1 & H2? Like 17 or so years…So who here still weighs the same as they did 17 years ago? I’m willing to guess maybe 1 or 2 and thats it, so why does everyone compare Michaels size to the size he was in H1 or H2? Personally I think Geroge Wilbur actually was a good representation of what Michael would “probably” look like 17 years later.

No problem man, thats at least a fair reasoning to WHY he looks like that, I just think personally it takes away some of the creepiness from the character…same with part 4 which was wilbur who played michael almost like a robot.

OMG…Or how about when they give you that 1 ketchup & NO straws, , I mean WTF??? So I’m gonna use 1 ketchup, then pop the top on my soda, perform a balancing act as to not spill it every freakin where, then wipe my hands on my shirt. 
Haha, this is similar to a lot of the Star Wars debates that went on about the prequels. “If you hate the prequels, you are not a TRUE, hardcore Star Wars fan.”
That’s not a really fair thing to say. Take the MISFITS, for example. Glenn Danzig WAS the Misfits. The later incarnations without Danzig were inferior at best, abominable at worst. To have to sit there and force yourself to like EVERYTHING Misfits wouldn’t prove you are more of a Misfits fan than a Danzig purist. If anything, fans that only like the original incarnation of that band seem more hardcore and respected from certain perspectives.
With the Myers saga, before RZ’s films, I truly enjoyed each and every one of the films. Sure, they gradually decreased in potency over the years, but I could never get enough. H6 is actually one of my favorite sequels. The only thing I like about Rob’s films were the mask and the fact that Danielle Harris got some more recognition. He made it really hard to watch a Halloween movie!
Myers ate a dog in the original film. 
I completely understand that, But I’m guessing Michael isn’t at the Gym or Jogging, and theres this little thing we all have called Metabolism, which slows way down with age.
Ron,I usually stay away from stuff like this but I have to express my opinion on this comment.I feel that’s off.Bottom line,some of us do not feel that the character being portrayed in certain films is a representation of Michael Myers.
I do not like H4-H8 at all.I do like the Rob Zombie films.Thing is,I don’t feel that 4-8 had much to offer.The masks,with the exception of 6,in my opinion,left a whole lot to be desired.The character of Myers had no mystique or even the proper posturing or body movement.I just feel they do not hit anything that made the original 2 films great.That is my opinion and I am entitled.
As a Rob Zombie fan,I have seen countless bashing by people on this board.A lot of them are great people with harsh opinions.I do not call into question their love of the Michael Myers character,nor do I sling mud at the movies they enjoy in return.Everyone has a different opinion of what Myers and a Halloween film is.
With that said,I don’t see how you can say someone is not a TRUE Myers fan because they don’t like the movies that you enjoy.I don’t think that is the case at all.You can take a look at my collection and plainly see,I am a die-hard Myers/Halloween fan.I just feel in a bunch of those movies,it was some serious milking going on to churn out movies to make money.
You are entitled to your opinion as we all are and I like you,Ron.I just strongly disagree with that statement and I’m sure I am not the only one.
