Interesting Halloween Facts II

LOL! No worries! I found out when the real Michael Myers passed away in '97 when I was at film school. Variety magazine took out a full page ad to send their condolences, and I was like, “What? Michael Myers died?” and then I read on…

Great topic, everyone, keep 'em coming!!!

.The Character Laurie Strode was named after John Carpenter’s first girlfrend

.Debra Hill played Michael Myers at age 6 when we were seeing the movie from his eyes, she was chosen because she has the hands of a 6 yr old

thanks bro!

i like this topic, it’s alot of fun.

what about laurie walking home after just bumping into sheriff brackett. Suddenly the sidewalk from Montrose ‘‘which is dry’’, to wet on oxley.

We forgive you Dick. Ben was a drunk anyhow!

ok wait a second here, i thougt not only did he kill ben tramer but that was also him walking around the parking as laurie was being put in the ambulance??? i read this on imdb about him in parking lot deal. i watched it and it did look like him. so…im wrong here or something???

Someone already brought that up earlier in the thread, but you are absolutely right.

Must be a time sequence blooper.

I love this stuff, let’s keep it rolling. Did you know that Dean Cundey, who by the way is my all time favorite cinematographer, was the cinematographer on Jurrassic Park, where he also played as a dock hand. Dean is a cool guy! He DP’d most of Carpenter’s fims

That’s right guys  Thank’s for the fun topic and interesting read! This is what it’s all about :drinkers:
Later,
Jay Muzz

glad thats cleared!!

I listened to an interview with Dean Cundey and he did most of the interior lighting of the film, that was at night, during the day time in H1!

I never knew this…Very cool. Which one of them is Billy?

Carpenter,Castle, and Wallace play in a band together called the COUPE DE VILLES.

there’s actually a hidden face on the cover of the original halloween

The hand forms a sideways face. The first knuckle forms eye sockets, the second forms a nose, and the webbing between the third and fourth knuckle form an open mouth. The overall face is suppose to look like its screaming or in shock.

Anyone else see it?

Yeah, you can see a face, matrixing… I doubt that it was intentional though. Cool

Im pretty postive that was intentional. It’s a bit too prominent not to be.

My god. After spending countless hours staring at this image, this is the first I’ve actually seen it…Awesome…

Nope just matrixing, it’s not prevalent enough to be intentional, but that’s just my opinion. It’s about as intentional as the faces in the clouds, so what makes you think it was purposely done?

I was told it was

In the closing montage shots at the very end of Halloween, you can quickly see Michael carrying Nancy by the side of the house.
