In the opening pov sequence of the original halloween, debra hill’s hands are actually the ones seen. (opening the knife drawer, grabbing the mask, etc.) She is also the one in the Myers outfit when Tommy looks out the window and see’s his silhouette across the street. She jokes about in interviews and says you can clearly tell it’s her because Michael suddenly shrunk a foot shorter.

Pamela Susan Shoop(nurse Karen) had gotten an ear infection cause the water used in the hot tub scene was cold and dirty during the shoot.

  • The real Smith’s Grove is in Kentucky, 15 miles away from Bowling Green where Carpenter was raised.

In their roles LAURIE (Jamie Lee) was actually a partier in real life and SMOKED cigarettes where LYNDA (PJ) hated smoking and only smoked on film because she thought that the character of LYNDA should smoke being the party girl she was.

I dont know if it has been mentioned yet, but jamie lee curtis was not actually up for the role of laurie strode. from what I remember, it was her sisiter who auditioned and jamie was only tagging along. she had no previous acting experience.

I cant remember how exactly she had been selected for the role, but if not for the one day, it’s very possible that she would have never became an actress.

Yes & Debra Hill thought they could exploit the fact that she was the daughter of the lady from Psycho & her father was Tony Curtis…A really famous couple at the time.


Also the original opening scene was to be a camera dollying down the street to come across a “mask” in the gutter but the closing in on the pumpkin was more aesthetically pleasing.

pj soles openly admitted that her strangle scene was actually suppose to end much faster than what made it in the final cut. she says that she milked her death scene for all she could so that she could gain more screen time. LOL
