Just saw H2 for the second time....

I had to give it another chance. After thinking about it, and finally seeing it again…I loved it. It’s a Rob Zombie film all the way. I went in with an open mind, adn some negative expectations the first time, and the result was me hating it. I went back to see it, and It was much much better!! I’m glad I went to see it again. Really cool film!!

same thing happen here! kickass movie!

Yup. Same thing happened to me. It’s a film that takes multiple watches, as it’s like a dream. The entire thing feels like a twisted, nighmarish version of a Halloween film, and I think it’s what made me love it, the second time.

bravo mate. glad you enjoyed it upon 2nd viewing. its a great horror flick. :drinkers:

I really want and need to watch it again.

Awesome to see another member enjoy the vision that is H2! Im going to TRY and catch it this week once the kids are back in school. After that I’ll be eagerly awaiting the dvd release and I hope they do up a cool special edition!

Yeah, I’m really glad I saw it again. I can’t believe how much better it is the second time around!!

i LOVED the demented pumpkin heads someone should post a screen cap of that creepy shit it was incredible…i wish they were in the movie longer

I love that part. That is one of the most striking images of the series…so beautiful and creepy.

I suppose I’m one of the few who really enjoyed it the first time around. I saw all the connections RZ was making and why he did what he did with the characters. Unlike many I found Loomis’ character very essential to the overall story and enjoyed the direction he took over the film’s story arc. Strode was a shell of her former self, and thus, so was her character a shell; having associated with a team of girls who’ve likewise rejected society in their appearances and attitudes. Although with Laurie, she’s withdrawn from a society she feels created and failed to protect her from this monster that almsot stole everything from her life.

Man, I could go on and on…

Yeah,I’ve now seen it three times.I was SOLD after the second watch.Glad you’re on board, brother!!!

I noticed more stuff the second time around.

I still give the movie a 7.5/10 and the first one a 8/10 though

I actually just saw it for the first time. After all the crap that has been said about the film, I was expecting the worst movie of all time (as some have said it is) and I actually liked it alot! My third favorite of the series in fact  I HATED the very end though. The scene after the shack

The movie should of ended with laurie holding the mask.

Then it would of been a semi-decent ending.

Yeah, even that would have been much better. sigh

I finally got around to seeing it tonight, and I have to say, it was amazing, there were some parts that were a little too… Rob Zombie, some dialogue specifically, but the good far outweighed the bad, and honestly its the first horror movie to really hit me on an emotional level, character wise, I constantly felt like I should jump in the screen and help Laurie, the desperation of her trying to escape in the hospital… chilling. All the acting for returning characters was far better than Rob’s H1. Well, I’m not a fan of how Dr. Loomis was written in Rob Zombie’s movies, but thats not an acting thing really, I just don’t think Loomis should be that much of a dick.

Also, first movie to seriously turn my stomach at some points since… well, the hottub scene in the original Halloween 2, which I saw when I was in 4th grade, I’m a sophomore in college now, that sinking feeling in my stomach only caused by actual horror has been absent from my movie viewing for too long, and I can only thank Rob Zombie for bringing it back.

Quite possibly a better time to voice my opinion about the movie would be after digesting what I saw some, but whatever, I’m just really glad that coming home from thinking the movie is awesome there are plenty of people on the board who share that opinion, to some extent at least.

I agree. This is the first movie in a long time that gave me that “sinking feeling” as well. In fact, it’s been so long that I can’t even remember what movie it was that gave me that feeling last  lol

I loved it the first time but loved it even more the second time!!

Amazing entry to the series. First time I saw it I loved it straight away. To me it plays out like a really dark, violent and malevolent “Halloween 4”. The feeling of a small town during the Halloween season is portrayed to perfection and the performances come across as totally sincere. I think Rob has made something very special and innovative within the “Halloween” universe, something more cerebral than what we’ve had before. Even the score, although completely different from the famous themes still manages to extend upon them and retains some very “Carpenteresque” moments. I’m glad to see it’s finding its feet among the fans.

I need Rob to put out a Director’s Cut on Blu Ray before I see this horribly edited film again :frowning: Sooooo much is missing :frowning:
