Hey just a thought that comes from being a bored college student…has anybody else thought about how freaking sweet it’d be to have M-M.net conventions??? I mean dont make one large convention that nobody would show up to but do it like in regions, a east coast, mid-country, and west coast AND if those do good have a National/International meet and greet. I really could see this as a fun thing to do, mask swaps where people would trade/buy/sale mask, myers trivia for prizes from mask makers or free DVDS, and then like a screening of a Halloween movie where all of us could get together and enjoy the best horror franchise EVER…then after that all get into costume and make a youtube sensation of hundreds of Myers walking around the city we pick hahahahaha it’d be great…not to mention it would show TRANCAS who the true fans were!!!
Feel free to comment and let me know what others think, i know it would involve a lot of travel and cost but it COULD be done ya know, later

Thats a good idea. They have these meets for car enthusiasts, why not halloween enthusiasts? I would be up for it.
another idea i just thought of* have booth space where collectors could bring their collections and set em up for display for others to gaze and drool over haha, charge a fee to have a booth and that would in turn cover the cost of renting the place for that day, good idea??? :finga:

We are actually promoting a Horror Convention at the Gwinnett convention Center next year. To rent just the exhibit Halls and three meeting rooms is close to 10 grand for the three day weekend.
That would be AWESOME!
I mean this could be a one day thing at some hotel meeting room…because chances are if we go the regional route there probably would be more than 50-100 people to show up sooo we wouldnt need anything big big. Ya never know if this gets put into motion maybe the mask masking companies on here would sponsor and in return have a booth where orders could be taken for their masks…who knows this was just a random idea, but sure as hell would be fun to see happen :finga:

thanks for letting me know i wasnt the only one thinking this would be a good idea…Now where would be some target cities to try and look??? For an east coast convention NC or VA would be central for everybody, Mid-country Colorado or Kansas, West-Coast Somewhere in Cali…itd be freaking sweet if all 3 conventions could happen the same day so we could all post our experiences in the same thread

Haha you’re in the part of the country thats not really close to any coast or mid-country, ohio might have to have its own convention jk if we get something planned out come to the east coast one its always better on the east cost

I dont know how if the amount of people would warrant a convention of it’s own but one idea is to apply for a guest table at like Monster Mania or CHiller and we could showcase Myers mask collecting; members here can all meet and then you could enjoy both meeting everyone/the hobby along with the rest of the horror convention as well.

Yea like i said just some random idea that popped into my head late last night and just wanted to see what everyone else’s thoughts were on it…not to mention we would probably run into problems with trancas and people like that if we tried to promote it with any of the “trademark” names sooo oh well sigh it would be fun though
