I was looking around the net at H1 masks and came across mask makers myspace page and I have to tell you that their new Nightwatcher is probably the closest looking H1 mask I have seen. Not sure of the quality but definitely the closest without being converted. I then started doing research on them here and found out they have a bum rap! Thats to bad.
yep nice masks but they smell a little like smoke too…lol.He definitely has talent.
They did me right on the one I ordered a year or so back - was actually a VERY smooth transaction w/ lightning fast shipping.

same here. its been almost 2 years since i ordered my mask but it got here in like a month.
now i will say this. the mask on the myspace looked phenominal. its angled just right with great lighting over it. but when i recieved it i wasnt as happy with it straight out of the box as i was the picture on the site.
that was my first big lesson on buying Myers masks. dont buy a mask after only seeing one or two nice pics. thats often a sales pitch. the mask really ONLY looks good from that particular angle with the right lighting.
i have figured most MMP masks to be like that.
Agreed - of course, Gary told me that himself when I ordered. He even decided it was best that he send me a Nightwatcher w/ absolutely no detail/weathering (for less than usual cost even) so that I could do all of that myself. If only I knew then what I know now…I would have asked for a blank. Hmmm, now there’s an idea!
MMP was notorious for photoshopping pics to pump up potential buyers! They would spend a lot of time on a few pics under the perfect lighting/angles and then run it through a couple of programs to get it to look much better than it did in person. Not only that, Gary/Jerry (probably both) smoked the hell out of cigarettes while they worked on masks. Every mask I bought from them smelled saturated with cig smoke and was difficult to even wear. Other than that, the guys did decent work and for the most part shipped with a 2-3 week turnaround (my experience anyhow). I never was ripped off by them, but know plenty of members who have been. I haven’t heard from either guy in a couple years now.
I bought a Nightmare from Gary years ago, it was one of the special limited editions called the “27” or something similar.
It took months and several emails but I did finally get my mask.
Like Chad already mentioned these guys were great at reworking masks to make them look AMAZING. The mask I ordered online looked PERFECT, the mask I received was…well, not that great.
I won’t go into why (No, it was not for re-casting purposes) or how long they had my Halloween 5 and Kirk but when they sent them back they were both wet on the inside. Now, it had a kind of bleach smell and I know it wasn’t Clorox. Honestly, I think they jacked off in my masks. No lie!

Wow - & I thought I had it bad on my 1st deal back in 2000 It took almost a year, but I finally got a mask (not the one I ordered, but hey, it was something.) I TRULY hope you get it resolved. Possibly a stupid question, but have you tried the BBB? That’s how I finally got my 2000 order.

Yeah we tried the BBB, and were in communication the entire summer of 2002 with Gary, and he kept giving us the run around. He told us and the BBB things were being resolved. Which was NOT true. I can’t even remember what mask I originally ordered from them, they ended up telling me the mold was broken, and they couldn’t make any more, so they would substitute 2 masks for the one I ordered. Ah, it was a SAMHAIN that I ordered…Yep, they told me the mold was busted, and couldn’t make anymore. And they would send me a “NIghtmare” and something “Much better than a Samhain”…What a crock of dog-shit. Amazing how there are so many Samhains out there, ain’t it? Literally, after 18 months of back and forth crap, my wife and I said forget it. I’ve been weary of mask transactions ever since. I don’t even want to give them the time of day - it’s not worth my time.
