This has to be one of the best H1 masks I have genuinely ever seen with a castle stretch.
Please let’s just focus on the sculpt. I know people have mentioned what they already feel about NAG and some have an issue with timing, but let’s focus on the work that is produced from it. I’m sure we can all agree at the end of the day, we all just want a great sculpt as close to the hero as possible. Let’s try to enjoy what we have.
This thing genuinely shocked me! Can you imagine what this will look like once JC gets his hands on it? I am super excited about this one.

It really is lacking a lot of detail, JC’s finish could only do so much
What detail specifically is it missing? This is straight from a 98 proto, so in terms of details they’d be pretty close.
Genuinely best stretch I’ve ever seen. Eyeholes are absolutely identical too, they are always the first thing I notice about a mask.
To be fair these pics don’t really do the mask justice at all. Nice mask though still. Not near the best stretch though imo. The ID & PS78 all day for me

We get it. The guy isn’t a very nice person and said some very weird and creepy things. But is there even a point in you replying to anything to do with his work? Because you’re incredibly biased against it. And this isn’t me trying to stir up trouble, I’m not. I’m just stating that every NAG related page recently has you dumping on his work left right and center. Again, not a nice person and I’m not a fan of him myself. Nor do I think his work is truly as groundbreaking as some make out. But separate his work from the person he is.

Actually I think the picture you posted from the film shows the Castro mask in an even better light to be honest with you. I like the ID but it doesn’t look as good in the photo you pinned to me compared to the Castro.
I think both are very good and depending on lighting and angles make all the difference. I don’t think any of them wipe the floor with each other at all, they are both really great sculpts. I clearly can’t see what you are saying. But if the other commenter is correct and this is more a personal vendetta to you, then I guess there is no point trying to have a reasonable conversations about the scult as you’ll be looking through a tinted lense I guess.
This should help more, I am simply comparing the I.D to the hero mask to show how it’s not just screen accurate as a sculpt, it’s also Scene accurate to when you see the hero mask on screen or in BTS shots of Castle wearing it, unfortunately, so few are still in the original finished condition and the lighting isn’t the best, it’s basically gone the way of the Beckstrom masks in rarity, and just for fun, I’ll throw in another Castle stretch mask that nailed the look, that is basically the ancestor, in a way
ID before & after a JC conversion (JC top 2 pics) the stock look was not for me. Not awful., but not for me

Just curious. What does the I.D mask have to do with the subject of this thread? Do you enjoy sh!tting on other people’s preferences so much that you have to try to convince them that whatever they are excited about is not as accurate to your favorite mask?
You want the cold hard truth? What you posted there still doesn’t “nail” the look in “my”eyes. I don’t see an I.D look in those 2 behind the scenes you just posted, while they very much do in other BTS pictures. Does that mean that I’m right, and your wrong? Absolutely not..several different people wore the hero and achieved different looks.
It’s kind of comical to sh!t on a mask that derived from a mask that has a direct lineage to a 75 Kirk. Both the I.D and the Castle Stretch are great, with the I.D being better IMO..but I don’t need to go in every thread to prove my point.

Absolutely beautiful. It’s very unfortunate that more of these aren’t available otherwise I’d pay top dollar for one. The best stretch mask IMO.

No problem brotherman. You aren’t the one that started it, you came in here with a positive comment regarding JC getting his hands on one of these. I took your pictures as a response to him making a condescending comment about how a “stock” I.D blows Nik’s new mask away. Clearly, you own what might be the best I.D I’ve seen so far, and if that has to do with James’ magic, so be it. Night and day over the stock copy.
I’d listen to someone’s opinion who’s owned nearly every NAG mask in the book (like yourself), over some certified Nik hater
