I’d like to purchase a Nag Nightmare UL in the future so I messaged Nik about the price, but I still haven’t gotten an answer. Thought this would be a good place to find answers.
I would like to know as well being new to this hobby but I don’t think they can post prices on here or on YouTube
Don’t quote me on this, but I’m more than positive his regular Nightmares are $275.00, I don’t know how much for a Nightmare UL, but I’m certain it’s in the same price range.
I ordered one from him recently, they are $220.00 usd. Here’s the one I did from the blank I received

How were you able to receive a blank? I thiught NAG never sends blanks unless youre sending it directly to an established artist who will finish it for you.
ah you’re talking about blanks, cause his finished masks are all around $400 or more

I agree! personally I think the 75k is a little bit overrated, a rehauled Nightmare looks more accurate to me, love it.
i’m glad you said that cause some of 75K mask i seen aren’t that great but aren’t bad either but i do agree its overrated mask to me at least
Yes I think so too, it also depends on the finish you see and the painter, that really makes a big difference, I really like the Nightmare finished by Freddy Loper
The features on the nightmare look better. Doesn’t the nightmare actually originate from Justin? If so that’s why it’s better. I tend to like his creep better than 75k also
well I know The Creep generates from a sculpt called The Nightmare, not sure it’s the same, perhaps it is.
Yes, it’s the same essentially. Justin did a classy press on an original 75 Kirk and ended up with the nightmare after some finishing. Without getting into all of the sordid details of the history of the Nightmare, Justin sold one of the original masters to Nikos who has done some retooling of his own

Justin did the original Nightmare by recasting an actual 75 Kirk. He eventually sold that mold and it went through a lot of hands until Nik got ahold of it, which he eventually retooled into the Nightmare Unlimited. So this mold has been extremely accurate since it’s inception. The 75k comes from the 98 Proto test mold which did have some flaws, if I remember correctly. The 75k has never looked as accurate as the Nightmare to me. Nightmare all the way

So the nightmare in the gallery from Nag is a nightmare Unlimited or just nightmare?? What’s the difference. And do they come in 23.5 or similar size to the H40?
The original Nightmare was casted from a Kirk that had Myers eyecuts already. And I guess the casting washed out some details. They also had a wider nose, and different head shape. The Nightmare Unlimited has Kirk eyes sculpted in place of the Myers eyes, more accurate head shape, slimmer nose, and sharper details
I believe the gallery is a mix of both Nightmares. Nik can do different sizes on his masks, usually ranging from 23" - 25"
Yeah, in my opinion the nightmare is a top notch H1, especially when haired and finished by James Carter or Freddy Loper those guys nail it with that sculpt!
