OMG!!! Halloween II sucks.

My wife and I just sat down and tried to give RZ’s Halloween II chance (on the internet of course.) :imp: :imp: Well, we made it through the first agonizing 22 minutes and had to turn it off. The movie is right down there with Ressurection. There’s no storyline with this suckfest I had to endure. I guess I never will know. And their already talking about making a Halloween 3-D? Just stop it already. I think Halloween has gone as far as it can go and, with any other movie, if they keep pushing the boundaries even after the story line is done and over with, it’s all going to suck. Give me a break and stop ruining the Halloween franchise. From 1998 to 2009 every movie has just sucked beyond belief. I would actually like to know what everyone who sat down and watched this 96 min suckfest thinks.

Well, you are in luck, because everyone’s thoughts are written all over this forum.

You said it… :drinkers:

Sucks that you didn’t finish it. I am not going to sit here and argue with you about it because your view towards it are… well YOUR views. I went and watched it with fellow halloweenies as well as people who don’t really know about myers. Everyone I went with, enjoyed it. I guess I am missing whatever made this such a god awful movie. It served its purpose. It was an entertaining movie. It wasn’t an award winning movie by any means but it wasn’t a total shit fest either. I have seen shitfest movies. Look up "hip hop locos’ or “Las Vegas Bloodbath” I guess the majority of the fans don’t like change…

Don’t forget from 1988 to 1998. Not much quality here either.

You’re preaching to the choir brutha. Most agree.

I really enjoyed the movie. I think it worked well and understand wha Zombie was trying to do in this movie. He humanized a monster that was evil but a human nonetheless with evil rage and visions of this in his mind. Very well put together movie, glad Rob Zombie made a remake of my favorite horror series.

I agree that this movie was utterly terrible. The ending was just disheartening to the franchise and I absolutely loathed the entire maniacal endeavors of his sister.

Half of the movie reminded me of a Bear Grylls on some adventure trying to find civilization; the other half reminded me of a huge man drugged up on PCP just wreaking havoc everywhere.

I didn’t mind Zombie’s H1, but this one was awful.

Halloweens got really sucky way before 1998. not sure what you didnt like about rz H2, probably the same thing alot of others dont like about it, change, too much violence for a Halloween film? there are some things i dont like about it but no need to list them, if you didnt make it past the first 22 minutes then you wont know what im talking about. 22 minutes isnt long enough to know if there is a story line or not. all in all i still like rz H2 better than H4 - ressurection. for all who read this keep in mind i was born in 1979, im an OLD SCHOOL Halloween fan so go figure why i dislike all the sequels after H2 but really like RZ’s Halloweens.
my favorite Halloweens in order:
Halloween
Halloween II
RZ Halloween remake
RZ Halloween 2
everything in between i can do without.

Well stated embodiedhost. Other than the fact I actually didn’t mind H20 we finally agree on something bro  Mike

 i hear ya Mike. different opinions is what makes the world go around right? no H20 was the better of H4 - H8 i’ll give you that. later bud

I saw it in the Theatre and Sorry Rob - This was terrible.

I liked your first Halloween in 2007 , but I was really let down on this. I know this was made in about 30 days, but it was still very bad.

2 things i liked in this, was the makeup effects in the hospital scenes. The hands and stitches scenes looked bitchin Wayne - great job to you and your team. Some of the cinematography was stunning for a Halloween movie - very nice job camera crew… That’s about it from me on this one.

D.T.

What I dont understand is while i enjoyed the movie, to me the first 22 minutes are some of the best stuff in any Halloween movie period. If the hospital scene and what follows shortly after with the Annie, Brackett and Laurie household werent doing it for you, Well then I kind of wonder why you even bothered to check this out. Also I just dont get why people who claim to be halloween fans wont go see this stuff in the movies, You dont give your money to a Halloween movie, it effects MORE halloween movies, not just “Rob Zombie” Halloween movies. That is why I have been to the theater to see all the ones I can, because i know I want more and I know some will be good and most wont, but if they stop making money, then well…we get none. OR even worse ones.

The first 22 minutes were pretty cool…gotta say so. I stilll have issues with the fact that the ambulance has to drive, for what seems an eternity, on it’s destination to a Haddonfeild hospital…only to be disrupted by a COW…and then there’s the Oscar-worthy thirty second fuck fest dialouge (that seriously bordered on retarded). A beheading was appropriate. Kudos, Zombie…at least you shut him up before he hit the 45 second mark. Perhaps the DVD will give us the bonus 1 minute and 22 second deleted scene where he continues to say fuck for 1 minute and 22 seconds? And then Mikey is across town (apparently the hospital was really close to that pasture…then again…Mikey does have the advantage of having a my little pony to show him the way). Which brings up the fact that he droppped in the explanation of “the white horse” due to the fact that NO ONE GOT IT during the screenings. Best way to tackle that…CUE CARD…kudos…that explains that. But then, when it gets down to the actual 10 minutes they are in the hospital…it all turns out to be a scam.

But yeah…the first 22 minutes are the best by far. If only it didn’t have another hour and twenty minutes of bullshit.

Congrats on “banking” as much in 4 weeks as the last one made in one weekend. To quote Pearl Jam…It’s Evolution, Baby!!

They were not taking Myers to the hospital, you dont take dead people to hospitals, you take them to the coroners office and in small towns, that falls to the county.

I went into with really low expectations, and that could be why i thought i was actually ok. I thought overall RZ H2 as way better than his version of H1, for the most part less vulgar, gore, swearing so on. Of course making dr. loomis into a jag was kinda a wierd way to go with it.

I loved Halloween 2, far more darker and gruesome than the first.

I thought it was very refreshing. There were plenty of things that sucked like Sheri Moon Zombie, Sheri Moon Zombie, Sheri Moon Zombie, and let’s not forget… Sheri Moon Zombie.Remove her from the film and it would be far better.I thought it was very dark, gory and had a very original take on the story that the other turds over the years lacked.
:drinkers:

Why the hell am I reading a thread I commented in 2 YEARS AGO? Whoever bumped this thread should be drawn and quartered :finga: :butthead: :axe:

I thought H2 was a bad ass flick. The original H2 was a good one too but im all for a violent Myers film. Im a Zombie fan and that doesnt mean i like the movie because Rob Zombie did it. Carpenter started the revolution with Michael Myers and Zombie stepped in and modernized it with todays audiences. Younger people are more into the gore and intensity that H2 brings to the screen. Seeing mommy all the time got a little farfetched but aside from that, i thought Tyler portrayed and excellent Myers. One that I have been waiting to see for a long time. The immortal Myers just ran its course. H20 should’ve been the last then on with Zombies H1 and H2. What is it that makes H2 so unbarrable to watch? I love the kills. After H2('81), The storyline just got fucked until H20 reprised the first 2 movies. I love the overall look of Myers from Zombies films. Its grown on me.
