To say that the Smilin’ Jack has nothing to do with H3 is comparable to suggesting that Don Post’s “The Mask” has nothing to do with Michael Myers…Both comfortably fit into the realm of Halloween/Michael Myers memorabilia. Smilin’ Jack and The Mask just happened to save Don Post some money. 
Hey Jonathan. I understand your comparison but not really comparable as the studio released and produced an exact replica from the same molds and made them available. Both pumpkins were produced at the same time for a period by the studio. Since the PH was created specifically for the movie they resculpted another pumpkin and changed how it looked so they could continue to offer a pumpkin outside of that licensed mask. You can see the comparison above. It was not intended as an H3 mask. I misspoke before saying they made it to get around licensing. I was wrong.
