If the Hero is thick, that’s custom, which now, even more, leads me to believe DPS made the Hero and the stunt mask, which was thin, was the Tommy Wallace made one.

Thanks Billy, very welcome. I’m with you on your theory of the hero and stunt mask, this was the most enlightening part of the interview for me so far and definitely makes me think the Hero had to be by DP. The eye cuts alone have lead me to believe this for some time now but this new revelation regarding the thickness of the mask just reaffirms my belief that indeed the hero was did by Don Post Studios.

You know what else is also funny that Mark mentions the hero is thick, it also explains why the mouth didn’t rip open when castle stretched out the mask with his afro inside it! this is incredible stuff

I don’t own any thick masks, but I wouldn’t think a thick mask would stretch that much. Is it possible the stunt mask was used for the unmasking scene? Regardless, this is fantastic news to hear.

THIS is the scene that I immediately think of regarding thickness. I don’t think thick masks stretch like that. Could possibly be the stunt mask though

I highly believe that’s a Stunt mask for sure. That thing is pretty thin to stretch like that. Thick mask isn’t gonna come no where near as close to stretching like that!

So we think the stunt mask is the original Kirk that TLW converted, while the HERO was made by DPS? Or the other way around?

For the longest time everyone thought DPS did one stunt, and TLW did the hero and the 2nd stunt (schoolyard scene). But now because the mask has been revealed to be so thick, its more evidence pointing to the idea that DPS actually converted the HERO.

It’s pretty much assumed for sure that DPS did one stunt. This is the one with the jet black hair and even paint job.

It’s confirmed that Tommy converted the school yard mask (2nd stunt) due to BTS pics that show the hair and paint from the side.

Then obviously the hero is where the debate is.

One of the questions I had Benny ask Mark was whether or not the hair is dark to the to the roots or if it is blonde misted black.
If it’s the former, it’s evidence pointing to DPS converting the HERO. If it’s he latter, it points to TLW converting the hero.

Edit: a clearer picture of that demasking scene mask. I think it’s the stunt, but I forget honestly lol. Someone will have to confirm.
