RZH1 First ever rehaul TOT mask

Ok but just remember not to make it too grey or too black because It could turn your mask grey, make sure to mix some brown into the mix as well.

A new - nearly final - look! Now “only” do the cracks. Any advice what color and what technique to use for the cracks?

Wow the looks great Larry! Heres how you can do the cracks just dry brush on some blackish brown over the cracks and wipe off the excess that you don’t want

I extended the dry-brushing with more dirty-white areas so that the surface is less speckled. After all, it is not an H40 mask. But the drybrushing killed it, I am glad that I did this. I see light at the end of the tunnel…

Thank you! I cannot believe it’s finished. it was quite a long journey for me: First occre with 1:1 liquid latex by brush, then (too) white by airbrush, then (too) dark grey by airbrush and now “dirty” white by dry-brush. I’m done. I could do a final black wash but I don’t want to ruin it.

It looks great! Just wear it after it cures, snap some fun pictures, and post them.

It might have taken a long time to finish but it was worth it in the end

Thanks a lot - finally, I will add a little grey hair colour, then I think it’s done for good.

Or is there anything more I could do…? Unfortunately, everytime I dry-brush acrylic paint on the mask its surface doesnt’t look plain anymore, I wish I could do it better to get a smooth skin on the mask…

If you want it smoother as well as your paint job being sealed you could use clear plasti dip.

Okay, here in Germany it’s hard to get it for a few bucks but in general I think it is a normal, transparent rubber spray that people use to seal alloy rims on their cars.

For a more yellowish finish, I sprayed cold coffee onto the mask and wiped it off.
