Scream (1996) Boots Help

Not to mention they’re the Walmart of online retailers. If you buy through Amazon, you’re buying the defective stuff that isn’t quite bad enough to throw away, but has minor stitching defects or leather errors that a company like Rockport won’t send to brick and mortar stores, or sell on their own website.

I’ve recently been on the hunt myself, so why not breath new life into the search.

  1. Principal photography on the movie took place April-June 1996, so the most likely case was the boots were picked up within the first few months of 1996.
  2. There are 5 silver eyelets (From what’s shown)and 2 silver hooks for the laces.
  3. The sole has a very similar design to the Doc Martens Neil Boot (pictured) with the darker material sandwiched between a lighter material (possibly clear)
  4. I’m convinced the boots Billy is wearing at the fountain are the same boots as the bathroom attack scene.
  5. The costume designer believes the boots may have been purchased at Sears.
  6. No top stitch located across the toe.
  7. What appears to be another piece of material on the side of the boot overlapping where the eyelets are.
  8. The treads almost appear to be reversed from the standard (sloping forward instead of back)

They’re probably this hard to find because they’re a one off model. Sears is a good lead though, i’ve still yet to find any vintage Sears that match. I’m convinced they are way older than they appear too…I’m betting 80s. They also look solid at the front, they look like they’re steel toes.

I found similar boots might be a cool buy :+1:

They don’t match at all, sorry

I’m thinking maybe older, 70’s maybe?

Don’t know if it will help but i found these that look kinda close.

Missing the 2 piece fabric on the sides

Alright still no luck finding the exact boots but I did find a pair that is the closest I have ever seen to matching in my eyes. It’s obviously missing things and doesn’t match exact but these are readily available to buy and would make a very good substitute for cosplay etc.

good starter or for those who are just putting a costume to wear

I know these are not the Scream 1996 boots but these are in fact the Scream 3 boots if anybody was looking for them according to Nate Ragon’s new video:

This is strictly the original boots, those are nice, but nowhere close to the originals

They’ve been found by Ragon Productions!!!

They took far too long to reveal it, but it’s great to finally see them identified!

This is awesome, and frankly surprising…I too never knew Rebok made boots. I also watched his video on every Scream film’s boots, and he says the Scream 2 boots haven’t been identified either, so do we have any leads on those?

I’ll believe it when I see an exact matching pair to the hero boots.

Another update on the boots…apparently, photos from a listing of a pair being sold a few years ago were recently found. Skip to 2:32 and 2:49 to see the images…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSF9dviREFE

“Everything matches” Except the colour

Plus like a handful of other things including the entire construction lol. I’m at least glad that we can 100% confirm the brand of shoes. Now it is just down to finding a black pair with the identical construction.

I think like the boots in Part 5 of FT13, the boots were given some heavy dye, but they also had multiple pairs
