HOLY SH*T I may have just stumbled on the brand of boots, theyre 85-90% there but we need a taller ankle.
The ones I found are made by a company called “Johnston & Murphy” brand hiking shoes
theyre not a 100% match the ankle is shorter & the tread is slightly different BUT …
They have the two piece upper, where the laces and eyelets sit. It has the distinctive ZIG-ZAG pattern on the side.
I think I found the maker, but now we need to narrow down the model.
The toe shot from above matches the scene where Sydney looks down at Skeet Ulrich’s boots

Yep those are the boots! Wow after all these years someone finally found them! They’re probably extremely rare or discontinued.

I do just want to say though for people saying “that’s them” or similar comments that those are not an exact match, and the one thing that does match is just the step down in the stitching. The length of the top piece and shape of the bottom piece of leather are not the same as the movie boot, but it is a VERY big step in the right direction!

I was gonna say… yeah there is still just too many differences especially for it to be exactly them.
Probably the same brand but different model. But a lot of it seems to closely match that we might have found the actual brand. The boots from scream will become what the coveralls from h1 are to the Michael Myers community, maybe in a few years or decades we might actually find the actual boot as everything else about the costume including the knife, voice changer etc is already well documented and known.
It does have some differences, but a catalogue could give an idea of the date, they could be from the 60s due to the sole being much like the jungle boots or even earlier
I know theyre not the same as the film, but some of it is close maybe a possible brand.
They lack the cutout for the heel too, maybe someone has a screencap or bigger shot of this scene

He played Ghostface in Scream 1/2/4 maybe well get lucky maybe he kept some of his wardrobe

Dane Farwell played gostface in near every movie, maybe he kept his Scream 1 Wardrobe?
Also Skeet Ulrich wore the boots maybe he kept his costume from the movie.

Obviously they’re not the same but again are pretty close from what I can tell. I think rockports may be a good lead to look into.
Amazon is not the best place to look for boots, I looked up vintage Rockports, none really match on ebay with the soles, profile or seams
