I’ve always wondered why in each movie of the Halloween Series, why the mask style is different? I’m a fan of the classic mask from the original Halloween movie. I think that the masks from 4, 5, and 6 look ridiculous. If anyone knows why they are all so different please let me know! Also let me know your favorite style mask!
H2
I’m sure that by 1988, The Hero was already degrading…plus in the storyline it was burned up in the fire at Haddonfield Memorial. I’m not too fond of masks after 1 & 2 - but there was a VERY nice mask in part 4 for one quick scene I’m sure many others here have more eloquent answers.
I like the H2 mask as well. And yes, that one short 2 sec scene mask makes the whole movie! lol good point about the mask burning in 2, i guess he had to start with a new clean one! lol
That mask in part 4 you see for 2 seconds is actually the same mask used in the original Halloween and Halloween 2. The filmakers wanted to use the same mask, but they thought that it’s apperance had changed over the years and they decided to go with a different mask.
The mask in H1 and H2 are the same mask and only look different because of the way the mask conformed to the face.Nick Castle’s face and Dick Warlock’s were completely different shapes. That said,my favorite will always be the way Nick Castle wore the mask in H1.
excellent points =) i had a feeling the h1 and h2 masks were the same… he just decided to go with a more slicked hair do! lol
If i am correct Dick Warlock said in an interview, that the producers wanted the Hero Mask for Halloween 4 - but condition of the Hero was not very good. So they tried a new Kirk (the good quick scene) - and Akkad decided that they take another mask. But i will never understand why they changed Michael Myers to a chinese-looking Myers…wan-tan soup? Even more disgusting is the mask of Halloween 5 - in my opinion it has a female touch, girlie-Myers. Part 6 is a bit better - better than H20 or Resurrection…imo. But all nothing against the real Hero - so the original H1+H2 rules…
Rob Zombie: :butthead:
What? what scene is that.
It’s near the end… when they are in the school… and Michael comes out of no where and it’s a different mask… it’s really quick.
H1 1978 and H2 1981.
That scene. That is not the hero from H1 and 2. thats an unconverted Kirk. If you pause ti on that scene, it clear as daylight, that it is a kirk. I though you guys ment another scene.
Maybe you meant it in a light hearted kind of way so ill smile as i write this too, but understand that there are members here from all around the world so you & your won ton soup remark (or as you spelled it Wan Tan)is a bit stupid to some. That’s like somebody telling you to go grab a chicken schnitzel & some chili cheese fries from der-Wienerschnitzel only because you have “Germany” in your name…(shallow minded right). I doubt you would be fond of that. That kind of stuff is as useless as rubber lips on a woodpecker.
I Too only care for and Collect H1 & H2 and RZ 1 & 2 Masks. For me H4 and on don’t quite have the same eerieness to them. eerieness, is that a word? Well I don’t know! Bob
I count eeriness as a word =D I agree with you on the masks… original and Rob Zombie’s remakes rule.
Yup - however, I wouldn’t part w/ my Jamie Lloyd clown costume for the world
H1
My favorite mask is the H1/H2. Now, as for who’s cranium I prefer it on… That changes from day to day lol
i love the h2 look 81 and i think the reason that the masks looked much differnt from h1 and h2 is that the star track guys had some thing to do with it by part 4 they wanted money from the halloween guys so they made myers mask that looked nothing like h1 and h2 dont get me wrong i like some masks halloween h20 was a good looking mask and h8 had a mean look to it
yeah, i liked the one in H20… just 4,5, and 6 bug me… they look so weird i have to laugh and not be scared! lol
