Finally got my copy of the new edition of the Halloween 2018 mask. I’m pretty impressed! More pics to come!
Wow, thats awsome man looks good. But I wonder why its taken so long for regular version to ship out.

if you come across a gaping vagina that looks anything like that I’d suggest backing away slowly and getting the hell out of there. That thing’s had more sausage run through it than a Oscar Mayer machine.

No offense to you guys, but I think this was a terrible idea in the film and even worse that TOTS is gouging customers for the same mask but with a hole and poorly-applied red paint. If you enjoy it, more power to you. Is it as small as the first mask? Zephro is likely going to keep to his promise when it comes to making a bigger mask. What a douche.
Im not a fan of this version of the mask but that hair looks great! I wish they put hair like that on the earlier masks. Nice copy!
Only issue is I have rewatched the scene like 15 times. There is no dripping blood like that on his mask. Maybe the ToTs team had access to some of the deleted scenes or mask after and based it off that, but it is maybe a 2 second initial shot and maybe a 1 second shot after to actually see this in the theatrical film. This is no blood tears in my eyes.
Is this some kind of a joke? This is Zephro laughing at us. This is insulting they would put a mask like this out.Zephro should be ashamed of himself. I hope there is another mask company that will come out and get the rights to the Halloween franchise. I hope that happens.
It’s way smaller in the movie though
No it isn’t smaller in the movie. I just got my digital copy this morning and with the power of a brighter picture on a home television, and a pause button, it’s clear the hole is large, and the blood is there.
Is it massively gaping like some of these shots of the new Tots mask? Probably not, but it’s definitely noticable once you know it’s there. The damn scene just goes by so fast that it’s hard to tell at all what it looks like when viewed at speed.
I don’t want one, but it sure looks like the replica is remarkably accurate.

It’s about as stupid as it gets considering this scene goes by so fast. It’s a cash grab obviously. But watching the movie on a brighter TV and having the pause button handy, the mask isn’t far off from the way it looked in the film during that scene.
I’m not defending tots and their ridiculous money grab, and in fact cared less about this topic until watching my digital copy early this morning and noticed right away the blood and the hole wound. So I took some stills of it to hopefully have people say yep, and move on.
By no means is this a scene that goes long enough to get it’s own mask though, that’s kind of ridiculous. Not a knock on the hardcore fans who want this mask, that’s completely fine, but the scene is 20 seconds and that’s it. Plus Myers is filmed from the left side for most of the scene. I can see why people have their own ideas about the way the mask looks at that moment in the movie though. I can also see them digging away at it just for more excuses to bitch about Zephro, while Mabry, the co-founder and Art Director, gets a free pass as usual.
The only reason I see getting this is that it’s going to be how the mask looks in the inevitable sequal, but even then you can get the regular version and rehaul it.

Yeah, seen that before. Looks nothing like how it appears in the actual scene that takes place, it has blood all around it in the final cut of the movie. I’ve watched it several times today. There could be some inconsistency in the amount of blood used between the hero and stunt masks which makes it change appearance from scene to scene.

Here’s some different shots I tried to grab. Without a slow mo button on this digtial player it’s tough to pause at the right moment, but in these shots it’s clearly a blood covered wound, and blood is dripping down the mask as seen in the one of him laying on the floor. The one where he is attacking Laurie is the scene it looks the largest in. Probably due to it having the most blood.
Only pointing this out specifically due to seeing a comment or two elsewhere, where someone actually said there was no blood at all. They obviously were thinking of that BTS shot of the mask, before the blood was applied. There is most certainly blood in the film itself.
I know it’s smaller in the movie because the gun he got shot with doesn’t have that kind of caliber to make a hole that big. Not to mention it seems like it just grazed him in the cheek.
It only looks big in those shots because of the blood.
