The 1998’s did not have the DP info on it, or at least the one I walked around with so maybe you have one from that mold, just a thinner pour.

i have a don post 1986 myers mask and its identical to the 75
kirk mask so was wondering if it was casted from a 75 kirk if you dont mind please respond

This defo has to come from the 75 kirk. The ears, jawline, shape…is stupidly close. Please dont get it converted.

Woah, first time I’ve seen one of these. I remember the promo shots back in the day for the 98 and always thought it would be cool to have one finished like it. Killer mask! Congrats on the score.

Thanks Guys for taking the time to help me out here and for the compliments. I’ve never found something this rare before. I always thought I would be at a yard sale or goodwill and I might find one. I know it’s not the 75 but I guess it’s the next best thing. I do have an old DP 86 that I bought in 1990. It has a little dry rot on it now because it stayed in my Dad’s garage. He moved and accidentally got a box of my stuff. I forgot about it and then one day he was like I think this stuff is yours. I felt bad at the time, cause I always take care of my masks. I also have a Rubies I found back in 98 (it’s all wrinkled, bought it that way). God… I can still remember seeing the website for the 98 Kirk mask. I just had flash back. LOL
They sold out before you could order one. I think you had to place your order over the phone? I can remember everyone converting them…Memories

Doesn’t the Steve Todd site have some 98’s and 99’s pics?

That is just AWSOME. Good Photoshop skills my friend. I don’t think I could convert something this rare though. But it doesn’t hurt to imagine. :sunglasses:

I have no idea. The guy working the counter really didn’t know much about the mask either. He knew it was a DP mask and he called it a Shanter Michael Myers mask. I was like ok.

You know I go to comic shops whenever I go out of town and I’ve never seen any Star Trek masks in any of them. I think someone sold this out of desperation to the comic book dude and he didn’t know what it was, but I think he could tell it was rare. I told the guy I was familiar with Capt. Kirk masks and thought it was pretty original looking.

Does anyone ever go to Star Trek conventions? I don’t. I’m not really a Trek fan.
