Not gone at all on a HALLOWEEN 3D idea… to me this really spells disaster… just look at the mess the 3D boom has left… Friday 13th 3D, JAWS 3D, AMITYVILLE 3D, MBV3D, FD3D… The film-makers spend so much time on setting up lame moments to high-light the 3D they sacrifice important processes like story development, character development and in all these examples the acting is always shit because they spend so little time with the performances on set and too much time on the gimmick… I am a bit underwhelmed by the idea and trying to make a Halloween outside of Rob Zombies universe will be a hard act to follow… the sequels after the originals could easily be PG13 these days… lol. Unless they go right back to basics and make it something very creepy along the lines of “The Strangers” which is clearly inspired by Carpenters “Halloween”… actually hire the director of “The Strangers”… might not be a bad idea… 
I think H3d will be a stand alone film just like the original but have myers in. In other words won’t be part of the RZ storyline and will be a movie all by itself. Scout and Tyler originally only signed on to do 2 movies. So hopefully even though its 3D, it will stand alone.

The Strangers was a great flick,even better if Liv Tyler did not wake up and scream at the Mormon child.Should’ve been left with the childrens exchange with the killer on the dirt road.I know it isn’t related to the topic…excuse me…I just had to comment on that movie given the chance

This Halloween 3-D thing is conformation that RZ’s H2 is a failure and the producers are only in it for the $$. Create a gimmik 3-D movie, capitolize on the Halloween name and push this series further down the toilet. Next we’ll see Myers in space fighting Jason X or Godzilla. I’m done with it.
Although I really liked MBV3D, it was a fun slasher film and thats why it worked. Halloween shouldn’t be a fun slasher film, it should be suspenseful/thrilling with great shots, no gimmicks. I didn’t think H2 was really that bad, sure there were plenty of reasons to dislike the film but there were plenty of reasons to like it as well. 3D would not be a great way for them to amp the series back up again. People will most likely laugh when they see the trailer for “Halloween 3D” and they should, it just sounds corny, hell even The Final Destination didn’t have 3D in the title. I actually mentioned that they should use the director and/or writer from the film “The Strangers” it was suspenseful/thrilling and reminiscent of the first Halloween, but then again I disliked the ending for The Strangers as well but I would favor that direction a lot better.
Without the same characters and not using Mane, this movie will fail.
Friday the 13th 3 was great!
yeah friday 13th part 3 is still one of my favorites in the series. the only thing that seemed really 3dish in it to me was the cross bow scene.
but as far as Halloween 3d? i too think they would fu*k it up with more of a gimmick, mainstream, hollywood feel like ressurection. and on my, we do not need another Halloween film like that.

No Zombie = a more true to Myers Halloween flick.

the only thing in friday 3 that seemes 3dish to you was the dock scene with the arrow in the eye? Not the popcorn flying at the camera, the yo yo scene, the fact that everyone sticks something at the camera every 5 minutes? lol.
I hate this idea. My bloody valentine is alright in 3d but its a horrible horible movie.
So a stand alone? Okay lets take these 2 movies zombie just created and actually had a vision and just create something thats a total cash grab. Fuck it. Halloween 3d yea!! Just have him chase a bunch of girls ehh who cares fuck it. Steve miners on the phone ohh yea! perfect he’ll do the job and that’s it no questions asked. We dont want anything too different or the Halloween fans will be mad! they want a really straight forward film. Just like the originals.

That isn’t true. Part 6 didn’t have Zombie and it wasn’t true to Myers at all. He was fucking INCEST and was under a druid curse. Wtf was that about?
This could easily become another “resurrection” type sequel. Embarrassing!! “Halloween” would then become top of the endangered species list. We can all hope though that with a great script, great actors and a great director this could also become a standout “novelty” of the series. But it won’t be kept simple…it’ll be written around the 3D gimmick with set-up scenes to high-light the 3D effect. I don’t think “The Strangers” in 3D or even Carpenters “Halloween” in 3D would please the 3D crowd nowadays wanting to better their last explosive but shallow 3D experience. 
Not saying it will but the 3d thing COULD work. Remember, Halloween II (the original) was originally going to be in 3d!
Bring it on. The last two Zombie Halloween movies were extremely serious, time to lighten things up a little bit. I loved MBV3D for what it was, a fun 3D slasher flick.
H20 could have been 3D, it was a very light, fun sequel.
I don’t think we will see Resurrection Part 2. Resurrection came at the tail end of the “Scream” era of crappy slashers with pretty teens (Valentine, IKWYDLS, Urban Legend, etc.), so all they thought they needed to do was get a bunch of pretty actors and an iconic villan to make it work.
