Had a detour this morning and had to get it after work. Just got the last copy of it at the best buy by my house. Is anyone else seeing low quantities or out of them? That’s crazy!
All of the deleted scene are from the TV cut. Too bad they don’t have all of them. I would have also loved to see the reporters inside the Hospital footage, or at least more photos of the scene.
One of these days I’ll have to track down a high quality TV version.
Yep, I think they underestimated the demand. I felt lucky to get one. NONE at Walmart and Target, FYE and Best Buy had them for $14.99. BB had only 2 and FYE had ONE!
This sucks, a lot of people have already bought their copy, and mine is still in transit. Damn I should have waited and bought mine today, instead of going through Amazon. I hate snail mail…Dean
I am watching it now. The transfer is incredible, but Universal really dropped the ball on the special features.
They left out a few deleted/TV scenes, and I feel they could have done a commentary track with Rick Rosenthal, Dick Warlock, etc… Also, the cover is disappointing. I cannot believe they went away from the original cover and used a Warlock mask instead. I think someone should toss Universal a quarter so they can buy a clue.
I’m VERY happy with the transfer, perhaps even more so than with H1. I have a surround sound system and it sounds GREAT; the explosion in the finale rattled the windows A lot of the scenes clearer than I remember in the DVD (background shots are much more visible and crisp).
Having the TV scenes even in standard definition is great, as opposed to the bootleg quality rips I’ve downloaded over the years – though they don’t feature ALL of the TV scenes. Man, I have to say that I’m glad they didn’t use the alternate ending in the actual film over the regular one, it would have totally killed the frickin’ mood
The only thing I have left to watch in full is the “Terror in the Aisles” documentary, and I’ll be doing so tonight.
Overall I’m VERY VERY happy with how they treated the Blu Ray transfer.
No luck at wal mart so I had to go to best buy where I snagged the last copy…I’m guessing they didn’t gt many in since there DVD/blu ray section has taken a nose dive in recent years.
