WHo's buying H2 on Blu Ray Today? Post here

I ordered through Amazon a few months ago, it should be here tomorrow or Friday. I had a feeling (based on prior experience) that my Wal Mart and Best Buy would not stock it. They did the same thing for several other older Blu Ray releases, so I had a feeling it would be that way. Sucks that so many of you had the same problem.

I cant wait to get my copy … Is terror in the aisles in HD or SD ? I love the movie and have a copy on VHS and love to see it in HD along with Halloween 2 .

Thanks for the info .

Honestly, the Terror in the Aisles isnt very entertaining…its mostly just clips from horror films. I would have preferred a straight up behind the scenes of H2 or maybe a H2: 30 Years Later type doc. Still, its narrated by Donald Pleasence which is great.

Yeah, but the Terror In The Aisles is a classic. It’s kind of a cool addition. I remember watching it on VHS as a kid.

Oh no doubt, Im not complaining that its on there–just saying I would have preferred something more H2 centric–but itsa blu ray–no reason they couldnt have fit both. Seems like kind of a half assed attempt to have some kind of extra on the disc to me

I remember watching Terror in the Aisles on VHS when I was a kid too. I guess I’m partial to it because if there was a Blu Ray of Donald Pleasance reading the phone book I’d probably buy it just cause I love him so much

Horrible Distribution of this Blu Ray. Only 1 Best Buy in all of Orlando got this in.Kind of hard to sell a lot of copies when you don’t put it in hardly any stores.

Snagged the one and only copy my local Best Buy had :unamused: But there were several copies of Dinocroc vs Gatoraid (or whatever) Can’t wait to see it! I’ve always loved Terror in the Aisles as well :sunglasses:

Excited to see the Blu Ray version of H2. Especially the pause scenes of the mask like the hot tub and operating room. The bonus features pretty disappointing. Can’t even do an H2 documentary just throw terror in the Aisels in there as a filler and call it bonus features. Like all the people in H2 are such big stars now they don’t have time to do interviews for a H2 doc bonus feature. :unamused:

This is about what I expected so I’m still happy overall, at least a good transfer!!! That was the one thing I was hoping they would get correct although I am bummed there isn’t much going on with the special features.

Oh well…just makes a GOOD copy of the Halloween II TV Cut that much more special to have and at least now the transfer of the theatrical cut is FINALLY acceptable.

 Yes sir… I went to 3 best buys and finally got the guy to look it up for me… One store had 2 copies left and i sped over there and got one of them  Craziness :sunglasses:

Agreed!..Watching it now.
Had to hop on my bike and ride 25 minutes (doin 85) to pick it up at a Best Buy since the 4 ones closer to me didnt stock it.
Great distribution on this one! :unamused:

Please tell me that this has 5.1 surround. I’d hate to see another Blu-ray with 2 channel audio like the pathetic Halloween H20 release.

It has 5.1 surround sound. The picture & audio are excellent!

Every place I checked in southeast Michigan had NONE. Amazon here I come I guess

Ugh, this is killing me, my blu-ray is stuck in Sacramento Ca, about an hour 45 from here, and I went down to a store out here called Fry’s electronics and the had at least 10 copies, I almost wanted to pic it up, and sell my copy here once it arrived, but I told myself no, it will be here soon. So instead I picked up Saw 4, Children Of The Corn 25th anniversary edition, and Max Payne on Blu- Ray all for 35.69, not a bad deal…Dean

I just had to go back & watch H1 after I watched H2, both on BluRay. Granted, I only have a 720 capable HDTV as opposed to a 1080, but I have to say I’m very impressed with both.

While I won’t go as far as to say that the transfer was not indeed great on H2 for BR, I just feel that more was put into even (& maybe especially) that aspect. But, I will say that this could be a bias because I grew up with H2 before seeing H1 as a little bit older of a kid - I analyze H2 deeper & give H1 more “leeway” because of how dark it is as opposed to H2?

Just my impressions - but overall, I’m glad we have them…just really wish they had stuck with the original cover like H1 :imp: (and, of course, more special features - like at least one commentary? But, I did enjoy “Terror in the Aisles” as I’d never seen it & some of the scenes really brought back some almost buried memories :drinkers: )

That’s good to hear. I still can’t get over the quality of the H20 Blu-ray.

After finally watching Halloween II tonight on blu, I realized just how much Coke product placement was in this movie. Aside from the “Coke shot” with Dick we all love, there is a case of coke on the Elrod’s counter, Janet has a cup of coke with her when she’s talking to Bud and Jimmy, Jimmy asks Laurie if she wants him to get her a coke, and there are two shot of a coke vending machine toward the end after Michael walks through the glass doors. There is also a deleted scene that didn’t make it to the deleted scenes section in which Jimmy finally brings Laurie her coke, and opens it for her and places it on the table beside her…
Man, I could really go for a Coke now!1 :drinkers:
